Hailar at -30° during the day
Hailar has been extremely cold in the past few days. The temperature during the day is only minus 30 degrees, and it is even colder at night; if you forget to wear a hat and gloves when you get out of the car, you will feel numb from the cold in a few seconds. At such a low temperature, there is no problem with the diesel engine itself, and it will start normally; what affects the start is the electronic equipment around the power system, such as various electronic sensors. Whether they can withstand this low temperature will become a problem. The weakest link.
The Ruiqi 6 we drove encountered the problem of starting at extremely low temperature; because we wanted to test the starting performance of the Ruiqi 6 after being stored at extremely low temperature, we put the car at about -30° overnight. Outdoors, it turned out that it started normally for the first two days, but it failed when it reached -32° on the third day—the engine couldn’t start; the reason for the inability to start was not the engine itself, but the gear sensor of the gearbox that couldn’t detect it because the temperature was too low The neutral position caused the engine to fail to start.
There is no need to fix this problem, just put it indoors and warm it up for ten or twenty minutes. Therefore, in an extremely low temperature environment, there can be a place to block the wind, even if it is not a warm storage, this problem will not occur.

Three times in four days
When the Ruiqi 6 was delivered, it was equipped with the original four-season tires. After arriving in Hailar, the 25570R16 snow tires of the same specification could not be bought at all, and there was no second best. After thinking about the few days, we simply used all-season tires. run. The snow on the main roads in Hailar city and out of the city was cleaned up, and it snowed all night in the middle of the day, and there was no snow on the road when I got up in the morning. In fact, we also considered running on the glacier with nailed tires, but the crown of the original tires was too thin, and we were very worried that the tires would leak after the nailed tires were penetrated; because Lu Binglong’s training car was the nailed tires that were nailed by ourselves, and it was us. This reason of worry causes the tires to always leak, which greatly delays the training time. As a result, although we considered this point, the tires of the car still had problems frequently. In the first four days, the tires broke three times. The slag then causes a slow air leak.
The other one is the dead branches on the bank of the glacier. Don’t underestimate how big they are. After they dry up, they can pierce through the tread directly; I drove over without paying attention, but after the tire rolled a circle, it was pierced with more than a dozen holes, and I couldn’t even mend it, so I had to throw it away. Therefore, there are so many things to pay attention to when driving on non-paved wild roads, especially in extremely cold low temperatures, a little carelessness can cause big troubles.
Dongfeng Qingfa M9T engine

However, the shifting feel of this manual gearbox is average, which should be partly related to the engineering prototype car.
