(Text/Lightning Photo/Dakar Official Song Yongchuan) On January 6, local time, the 2019 Dakar Rally held a starting ceremony in Lima, the capital of Peru. The competition lasted for 11 days. A total of 167 motorcycles (including quad bikes), 126 cars and UTV all-terrain vehicles, and 41 trucks signed up for the competition. There were 534 contestants, including 17 female drivers.
After the starting ceremony, on the morning of January 7, Lima time, the SS1 stage: Lima-Pisco, with a total length of 331 kilometers, and a special stage of 84 kilometers in the desert stage – from the road book and the actual running situation From the point of view, the intensity of the desert is not great, but there are some minor difficulties: as expected, the shallow sand, floating sand, and dust are very large, which is what everyone often says, the ground is virtual, and it is difficult to judge the depth, just as you do not Knowing where is deep and where is shallow seems to be a trap everywhere. Among them, there are 10 kilometers of riverbeds. The stone road, heavy dust and low visibility have caused some confusion to the drivers.
Piloting Difficulty: The organizing committee has worked hard to set the difficulty of the track. Some hard-to-find WPC points are specially set up on the track, which are hidden passing points and not displayed at all. This year’s WPS safe passage point is set within a radius of 50 meters, so the point needs to be more accurate. If there is a slight deviation, you have to go back to eat, unless you are not afraid of losing time penalties.
