In 2013, I decided to buy a car, but the conditions were very simple, off-road, four-wheel drive, because such a car is heavy, so diesel is just needed. The budget is about 100,000, and I can’t afford more. At that time, only Great Wall’s H5 and Landwind’s X8 were eligible. The H5 fell off after seeing the real car. So I had no choice but to buy the Landwind X8.

When the new car was brought back, there were many problems… 

1. In fact, when I picked up the car, I found that the paint near the fuel filler was not completely dry, and there was a place that was still soft when pressed. It’s ridiculous to think about it, but it’s annoying to think that if you don’t mention it and have to wait, forget it, it will be done sooner or later anyway. Production process defects 

2. There will be no mosquitoes in the new car, because the smell inside is completely choking. I am worried that people may not be able to survive after staying for a long time, let alone mosquitoes? So in the first few days when a new car is on the road, I dare not drive with the windows closed. Later, I quickly bought a home air purifier on the Internet, added the inverter and put it in the trunk, and started working hard in the back as soon as I drove. It may take half a month before the smell in the car slowly dissipated to the point where it was terrible. Acceptance. Quality defects of accessories;

 3. What’s more terrible is that the car resonates. I asked him how many times he had practiced in the past three years, and the answer was: no. Thinking of my own Landwind, the price is about the same, and it has been repaired countless times in the past three years. 

1. The main driver’s door glass derailed, the passenger glass derailed, and the design was flawed. When the main and passenger door glass is lowered, if the door is closed vigorously, the window glass may come out of the glass guide rail, and then get stuck and cannot be raised. Once on the top of the mountain, this situation happened again. I urgently used the vehicle tools to remove the door trim and repaired it myself. It didn’t take long after the repair was completed. The storm started. If it is not repaired in time, it will be embarrassing. At that time, the guide rail on the driver’s side was being repaired, because the guide rail was broken by force, and then the guide rail was broken due to the stressed welding point, and now it is in a state of free wandering in the door;

2. Water leakage in the windshield water tank: the quality of the accessories is defective; when the car was 4 years old, it was found that the glass water consumption was abnormally fast. After observation, it was found that the glass water tank was leaking. I bought the water tank components online and replaced them;

3. The main cooling fan is damaged: Once when I was queuing to pay the toll at the high-speed exit, I suddenly found that the car was unable to start. Later, I saw the water temperature gauge on the dashboard flashing, and the high temperature protection alarm. I could only pour water on the cooling fan all the way to cool down and drive the car back. After checking, the cooling fan did not turn. After removing it, I can see that the carbon brushes have been worn out, but this motor does not support carbon brush replacement. It was originally a few yuan. Things that can be fixed are forcing the entire fan to be replaced. Taking advantage of the opportunity, I changed the dual fans for modification, but the cooling effect of the dual fans is better than before at low speeds, but at high speeds, because of the windshield of the fans, the water temperature is prone to be too high in Guangdong summer. I often have to look at the water temperature gauge while driving at high speeds. Once it is close to exceeding the limit, I will quickly refuel…

4. The water tank leaks: the quality of the accessories is defective; when the car was more than 5 years old, the joint between the plastic upper cover of the water tank and the aluminum alloy box began to leak water, and it was often necessary to add antifreeze. Later, I found that my desire to replace the water tank cover was too difficult, so I had to buy another water tank assembly and change it myself;

 5. Short circuit of the engine fuel injector wire: design defect or poor production process; Pull over to check. At that time, the problem could not be found, and there was no way to start the fire again, so I had to call a tow truck. I was actually glad that if it broke down on the mountain road the day before, the tow truck would not know how to get in and rescue it. I dragged it to the 4S store, checked that the insurance of the driving computer had burned out, but replaced it with a new insurance and it burned out quickly. It was judged that there was a short circuit inside the driving computer. After hearing that, without saying a word, I contacted my friend’s garage, and then called back the tow truck just now, and towed it away. I dismantled the computer from the new car in a friend’s factory, and found a merchant on Taobao who refurbished the X8 car repair computer and sent it to me. The merchant replied that the function of the driving computer was normal after testing, and no faults were found. I am also an electronic engineer myself, and I have checked the circuit board of the new car computer in detail, and found no trace of short circuit ablation. So I focused the inspection on the peripheral circuit, and finally found that it was a wire output from the driving computer to the fuel injector. Because it was not fixed and protected, it rubbed against the high-pressure oil distribution pipe of the fuel injector for a long time, and the wire was worn out. It is equivalent to a short circuit to the ground through the shell of the oil pipe, so the insurance of the driving computer is burned. Once the lesion is found, it can be dealt with at a cost of only a few cents;

 6. Oil leakage from the high-pressure oil pipe of the hydraulic power assist system: The quality of the accessories is defective; when the car was about 4-5 years old, there were signs of oil leakage in the left front of the engine. After careful inspection, it was found that the hydraulic oil level dropped and the high-pressure oil pipe leaked. I asked the garage and said it would take 500-800 to fix it. Unwilling to admit defeat, I went to Taobao to buy the original high-pressure oil pipe for 95 yuan, and found a car repair shop to replace it for 50 yuan;

 7. Oil stains near the supercharged turbo: At first I thought it was the supercharged turbo that started to leak oil, but I was still wondering if it was necessary to replace the turbo? Later, after inspection by a familiar car repairer, it was found that the waste engine oil leaked from the exhaust valve of the engine oil, and it was fine after tightening it. Now there is no oil stain near the turbine;

8. I added a vacuum tank by myself; X8 car owners have probably experienced that once the engine stalls, the brake vacuum boost will quickly disappear. Think about it when you are climbing a steep slope, the engine suffocates, and then the brakes lose power. Your car breaks down on the steep slope. As an off-road vehicle, an air tank is saved, which is too stingy;

 9. The air-conditioning compressor does not start: After coming out of the desert, the air-conditioning is intermittent. After inspection, the control relay of the air-conditioning compressor is broken. I went to Taobao and bought a few relays myself;

10. The air conditioner fan speed controller is damaged: the fan of the air conditioner sometimes does not turn, which can heat people to death. Later, I removed the fan speed controller from the heat exchanger and replaced it by myself. This may be affected by other electrical appliances I added, and it will not be included in Lufeng’s account; 

11. The four-wheel drive cannot be switched normally: once the car was slightly stuck in a swamp, and then after hanging on to 4L to get out of trouble, the car could not switch back to 2H, and it was a big headache. Later, after a few more tries, I was able to switch back to 2H. At that time, the switch became very unreliable, with ups and downs. Checked at the 4S shop, said that the speed sensor was faulty, but the problem was not solved after replacement, but the money was accepted. So I didn’t dare to find a 4S store again. After carefully checking the four-wheel drive switching circuit, I bought the transfer motor and got it done. However, when I replaced it, the transfer case motor of the sub-factory failed after two years of use. After buying normal accessories, it is still normal;

 12. Occasionally, the four-wheel drive fault light is on recently. Later, it was found that the connection of the speed sensor was not fastened and fixed, and it would rub against the rear drive shaft. transmission shaft;

13. The front and rear transmission shaft ten-bytes: the rear drive shaft ten-bytes car has been replaced when it was 3 years old, and it has basically rusted to death. It squeaks when driving. When climbing a mountain recently, the transmission system rattled and rattled after the four-wheel drive was installed. It was found that the front transmission shaft was damaged during the inspection, but it was normal after replacement. This ten-byte is neither covered nor oiled. Once soaked in water, it will be damaged very quickly, so be careful;

 14. I don’t know when to start the car, the OBD light is always on, the preheater plug is faulty during the computer check, and I have been too lazy to fix it. As a result, I drove to the Tibetan area during the Spring Festival. In the morning of minus 4-5 degrees, I used 3 batteries and started it at low temperature. The liquid catches fire. I recently bought a Bosch glow plug and replaced it;

15. In order to solve the problem of igniting the cold car in winter, an 80Ah lithium battery was replaced, but many people are worried about the adverse effects of the high temperature in the engine compartment on the lithium battery, and I am also observing;

16. The clutch pedal is heavy: I don’t know how many X8 car owners feel that the clutch pedal is too heavy. This is the case when the car is new. I have actually encountered traffic jams on the highway, and my left leg cramped when I stepped on the clutch. That’s embarrassing, neither is parking, nor is driving… But last week, the car had 200,000 kilometers, and I decided to replace the three-piece clutch. After the replacement, I found out why the clutch is so light! ! ? ? Recalling that there was serious abrasion at one end of the clutch release bearing that was slowed down, I strongly suspected that the clutch release bearing was improperly installed when the car left the factory, which caused the clutch to be so heavy. Poor father, my left leg should be thicker than my right now;

17. Replacement of 4 shock absorbers: The original X8 shock absorbers are seriously insufficient in damping. Driving is like sailing a boat. When turning, the car rolls as if trying to overturn. Later, the four shock absorbers were replaced with gray ones, and the handling of the car was very different immediately. Rolling and shaking were effectively suppressed, making it much easier to drive;

18. The iron chain of the spare tire is stuck: I was driving to climb a mountain once, and found that a rear wheel was flat before leaving, so I removed the spare tire to replace it, but I couldn’t unscrew the release nut of the spare tire anyway, and I thought I was doing it myself mistake. After tossing for an hour, I found out that the iron chain hanging the spare tire was stuck, so I had to drill under the car and use a screwdriver to pry the iron chain a little bit, and finally put the spare tire down. Later, when I got home, I disassembled the iron chain and the gear mechanism once, and there was no failure after that;

19. The left front wheel bearing is loose: this is a crime made by the 4S shop. When changing the oil, I followed the 4S shop’s advice and did the front wheel bearing maintenance. After a while, I found that the steering position was too large. I thought the steering system was worn and loose, but when the car was raised, I found that the left front wheel could shake by hand, and the bearings were almost useless due to the maintenance of the 4S shop.

After all, I went to Inner Mongolia to Tibet, went to the snow-capped mountains, entered the desert and crossed the grasslands, and did not throw me away. been in the wild. But there is really a lot of luck involved in it, and several times it broke down as soon as I went home, which made people feel scared. Among the faults listed above, many of them are due to the failure of the car to be installed properly, or even the poor quality of the parts. As long as the production quality is well controlled, it will be much better. It is really a pity for this car.
