The business has been busy in the past few years, and I travel every year. I have seen many RVs and RV camps in Europe and Australia, and I have been itching to come back. Should I buy or rent? Let’s rent one first. The car is a very new car from a leasing company. It was released in 2017 and has only run a little over 40,000 kilometers. Because I usually drive the FJ Cruiser and have an MPV at home, I don’t think this car is particularly big. It’s big, but the front and rear lengths, the left and right widths are okay, the first time you drive it, you can run around in the urban area without any discomfort. At that time, there were other options, Chase self-propelled 2.0 gasoline and a smaller one. After reading it for a few seconds, I decided on this Flying God. Why, because it is 1/3 bigger than Chase and has more space. In addition, this Iveco is diesel 3.0, which has good power and was recommended by the boss, so I chose it. When running in the southwest mountainous area, gasoline 2.0 will definitely not be able to run.
Parked downstairs, the family of the old man in the parking lot went up to visit with great interest. There are two other factors in choosing an RV. I brought two elderly people and a bulldog of my own. Because of the large space, it is relatively comfortable. Pets can go around. If you drive the MPV at home, the dog will basically be useless. It can lie on the aisle without moving, and the luggage compartment is very large. Objectively speaking, the luggage space of a RV is 5-6 times that of an MPV, and you can stuff all kinds of messes into it. This is still possible. In fact, I escaped the typhoon perfectly this time. It’s called Shaqima or something. As soon as I arrived in Suzhou, I ran away, emmm, it rained heavily that night. I was alone like a sand sculpture. I drove for 12 hours in the middle of the night, driving from Suzhou to Jiujiang, and it rained heavily. Since then, I have hardly encountered any rain.
In fact, the main reason for the caravan this time is to take the dog out. The mpv at home is full of people and luggage, and there is almost no room left for pets. Therefore, the caravan is still good, with more space than the mpv, and more freedom. It is easy to run in 5-6 gears on the Panshan Road in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan. This is completely incomparable with 2.0T gasoline. is very satisfied. But you know, when I was stuck on the 10-kilometer all-red road section of the Guangzhou Ring, the soreness of my left foot can be described as a broken foot. If you have a grudge against someone, let him drive the diesel Walking around Guangzhou in a manual RV will make you doubt your life.
2. The fuel tank is really small, and the oil is almost running out. You can only run 450 kilometers when you fill it up. You have to accept the status quo of adding oil at least once a day. If the air conditioner is parked for a long time, it may need 2 times. Diesel in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan is expensive, but if it wasn’t for diesel, the gasoline car would probably be 1/3 more expensive. There is a Datong 2.0 gasoline car running over, 17-19 oil, cough cough cough, don’t mention it .
3. There are really few RVs in the Southwest. After running out for nearly a month, I encountered 2 RVs, one is a self-propelled Chase, and the other is a trailer-type RV pulled by a Toule. I didn’t see it either. Compared with the Northwest, there are really fewer RVs in the Southwest. This is still during the summer vacation, so I can’t think about other times. In every rest area, people will come to ask curiously. In fact, it is nothing more than how much money, gasoline and diesel, and what is inside.
4. I can only park in the bus area. Since I drove out, I haven’t slept in the car for a day. It’s a full-time hotel. Why, because I can’t sleep at all (why I will say later, it’s meaningless to spray me), the bed of the RV is driving In fact, the principle is that you can’t sleep, and the traffic law stipulates that you have actually tried it, but if you pass speed bumps and buffer belts, plus bad road surfaces, the suspension system of Iveco leaf springs can make you fly on the bunk. Ground translation, even in a place with a good road, you can just fall asleep, and when you encounter a bump, you will immediately return to the waking state before liberation, so it is unrealistic to expect to rest on the road, of course, you can doze off . Here is a complaint about the rear seats of most RVs. It’s not a chair, it’s just a board with a simple sponge leather cover. The comfort is very poor, and the angle is close to vertical. If you change to a good chair, you can’t lie flat? ? ? Very inhumane, the softer leather bag will be much more expensive? ? ?
5. You can’t sleep while driving, so you can always sleep when you park. Sorry, you need to meet several conditions when you park to sleep. Air-conditioning, eating, and bathing are all power-hungry consumers. If you travel in summer (now I think RVs are really not suitable for summer) , you must turn on the parking air conditioner (some people say don’t turn on the parking, you only turn on the driving air conditioner, in summer, the heat will not kill you), although the Feishen RV parking air conditioner starts slowly, but it can barely cool it when it is turned on, don’t believe it The ceiling imported from the United States is just like that. Well, the driving air conditioner is on (can’t everyone sit in the back, and you can’t sit down), the parking air conditioner is on, the water pump is on (occasionally used), and the induction cooker always burns. Let’s soak some noodles in water (let’s not talk about cooking), you will soon find that after 1-2 hours, the voltage is around 10V and the alarm will sound, that is to say, when idling, your car’s generator is not enough at all. The on-board electrical appliances will seriously feed power (as for not starting it, I dare not even think about it), there must be brothers who say, can’t it be charged? In fact, as long as you travel, you will find that there are almost no places that can match 220V mains power. Except for RV camps, other places can allow you to park for one night. Your RV is so big, and it can be charged for such a long time to charge you for one night. Yes, there are almost none (you can, but you just look for it slowly, if you don’t rush the time, you can’t be ashamed, look slowly on the Wowo map, is this travel?), the high-speed charging piles are all 380V seven-core or 9-core Yes, it does not match yours at all, so this is the biggest problem, and it also restricts the popularity of RVs (there are 2,500 yuan for adapters on Taobao, ahem), as long as you disconnect from the electricity, your RV is nothing, solar energy I also have boards in my car, and the electricity for a day is only enough to boil a pot of water. So, let’s put it this way, I think it’s a hooligan to leave the electric talk car (manufacturers are almost hooligans, and they rarely mention this positively).
