After I had the idea of buying a RV, I studied various types of RVs, C-type and B-type off-road RVs, and flew to Beijing to participate in the RV exhibition. I learned a lot from the e-family and formed my own Understanding of RV: I think the attribute of RV is the car first, followed by the house. It is easy to drive, good control, safety and comfort of riding are the most important. After all, the most dependent on the RV is on the road and at the destination. There are many ways, hotels, B&Bs, farmyards or tents. What we really need is a car that can safely and comfortably carry a family to a long distance without worrying too much about food and lodging. It can be parked in more places. Occasionally sleep in the field and eat a bite of my own delicious warm food (I am not used to eating and eating in different places when I go out for a long time, and it is okay to try new things occasionally. At this time, I can cook a home-cooked meal and feel physically and mentally healthy) and no matter how old I am No matter how professional a caravan is, it still depends on the water and electricity of the campsite, and it will not be as comfortable as a hotel, and it will also be troubled by the height and width restrictions. The experience of the caravan for nearly a year also confirmed my thoughts at the time. The large caravan is inconvenient to move around the city. It is difficult to park on the viaduct. Go, there are a lot of height and width restrictions on the country roads in the wild, and you have to be careful when you miss a car, and you don’t dare to run too fast to follow the truck on the highway.

In the end, I decided to get a 5-meter-high roof RV. The originator of the roof-mounted RV should be Volkswagen’s California and Mercedes-Benz’s Marco Polo. California has not been introduced to the mainland, and only Marco Polo is left. After studying the details of Marco Polo, I found that this is what I want. , the length of the car is 4 meters 99, which is not as long as GL8 and A6 L , and the turning radius of the rear drive is large. But the price of this car is more than 1 million, and I can’t afford it. I started to study the layout of the chassis modification. The full set of hydropower upgrades cost about 100,000 yuan, but I found that the quality and safety of the layout of the private modification could not reach the original level. The quality of the factory, so I thought why not buy a second-hand original car with the cost of refitting, and the e-family helped me again, allowing me to choose a second-hand favorite car to use my RV life.

It’s been almost a year since I bought the car, and it’s been 15,000 kilometers. The whole family likes it very much. The farthest trip is the round-the-island self-driving from Dalian to Hainan. The streets, underground parking lots, crowded downtown areas, coastlines, cliffs, and caves have all become our small mobile homes. Next, I will update posts and pictures to report my RV experience.
