The first 2006 cross-country e-family Wengniute Heroes Meeting

【Continuation of a “thin as smoke” friendship】

July 1st – July 2nd, 2006 Ongniud Oudin

A review of the history of the 13th Heroes' Association accumulated over the years

The “hero meeting” originated from the vision of the founder of the off-road e-family for the offline gathering and communication of off-road vehicle enthusiasts across the country. He hopes to organize a pure meeting of car friends with the concept of “continuing a friendship as thin as a cloud”. Such a concept was germinated after Ong Niut’s small desert crossing activity.

In 2005, “Farmer”, one of the founders of the off-road e family, posted on the forum to organize the Ongniud desert crossing activity. The riders were touched by the scenery of Ongniut and the joy brought by the meeting of like-minded netizens, so after the event, they started planning to hold a large-scale off-road gathering in Wengniut. At the beginning of July 2006, the first Heroes Meeting was successfully held and led the trend of desert cross-country in China.

The first Heroes Club created the T3 classic cross-country challenge in which three vehicles competed as a team, and it has continued to this day. It has also become a classic event in the Heroes Club. It is the necessary spirit for every off-road enthusiast. In the subsequent Hero Meetings, the T3 Desert Challenge has developed and grown, and has gradually become the largest and most professional off-road event in the private sector. It is an incubator for countless top teams and drivers, and has a high reputation in the off-road circle and even the Chinese racing circle.

At this hero meeting, riders began to try to build a simple camp as a temporary place for gathering and resting. But at that time, everyone was inexperienced in outdoor camping life, and the camping equipment was relatively simple. Most people sat on the ground, prepared food in advance, or cooked some simple meals with cooking utensils.

In terms of racing, there have been modified racing cars at this year’s Heroes Meeting. An LC95 was equipped with shock absorbers and wading hoses. Under the circumstances at that time, it attracted the attention of all off-road enthusiasts. In the T3 Challenge, in addition to the teams composed of members from all over the world, for the first time, a factory team with uniform models and decorations appeared, which also shows that the cross-country e-family hero club has begun to have a certain social influence.
