And recently, Volkswagen officially launched this off-road enhancement kit from the concept car stage to the aftermarket field, and launched the Atlas Basecamp kit in the North American market. The price is 2,500 US dollars, or about 17,000 yuan.
Compared with the normal version of Atlas, the biggest difference in appearance of the Basecamp version is that it is equipped with a set of Fifteen52 Traverse MX 17-inch wheels, which is also the exclusive shape provided by the Fifteen52 brand for Volkswagen Atlas.
The reduced size of the wheel hub makes the brake disc of Volkswagen Atlas almost fill the hollow part of the entire wheel hub, and the visual effect is quite good. The matching tires were also replaced with Continental 245/70 R17 all-terrain tires. Of course, users can also choose patterns that are more suitable for roads according to their own needs.
In terms of exterior details, the Basecamp kit released this time also includes silver front and rear bumper guards, extended fenders, silver door sill guards, rear bumper with trailer attachment, etc. After this series of changes, speaking truthfully, the greasy feeling brought about by the huge body size of the Volkswagen Atlas has undergone substantial changes.
In addition, the Atlas Basecamp kit released by Volkswagen has no more upgrades, and the 1.5-inch rise that appeared on the concept car before did not appear in the kit.
