1981-1997—Wrangler YJ series

In 1986, AMC officially launched the Wrangler (Wrangler) YJ series at the Chicago Auto Show. In terms of appearance design, the Wrangler YJ retains the classic appearance of CJ. The difference is that the center of gravity is lower, and it has better handling and a comfortable interior. In terms of design, classic elements such as the original front flip windshield and detachable doors are still preserved. Different from CJ’s round headlight, YJ’s square headlight design is also a distinctive feature.
