Originally, I planned to take the 219 National Highway from the starting point of Lazi to Yecheng, but because I was in a hurry, I didn’t apply for the border defense certificate in time. In the past, it was possible to apply at the Armed Police Corps in Lhasa, Tibet, but this year, for some reason, starting from July 9, personal travel is not allowed. At that time, I could go wherever I wanted, so I walked all the way to Saga, where I was stopped by the border police. I had no choice but to take the Ali Great North Line from Cuoqin the next day. The scenery along the way is beautiful, which is also an unexpected harvest.
The original Tibet Provincial Highway 301 has been fully converted into National Highway 317. From Chengdu to Shiquan River in Ngari, Tibet, the whole journey is 5,476 kilometers, all of which are paved with asphalt and in good condition.
The 5,000-kilometer road monument of National Highway 318 is a new road after the diversion from Lazi.
