Caravans are nothing new. Although it doesn’t fly all over the streets like “Wang Xietang Qianyan”, it can be seen occasionally on the road. However, Lao Bai discovered a very serious problem – the utilization rate of RVs is too low.
The reason for this is that many riders spend impulsively when they buy a RV, and then find that they cannot travel in a RV. Car enthusiasts usually have two ideas when buying a RV: 1. I just want to buy it. 2. RV travel is so wonderful, I want to buy it.
Regarding the first type, Lao Bai just wants to have one sentence to express his inner thoughts: “Local tyrant, let’s be friends!” The second type is often persuaded by the RV life he imagined, and then he buys, buys, buys. Here, Laobai specifically listed a few issues that need to be considered besides money when buying a RV, and analyzed them one by one, hoping to cool down your magma-like head.
1. Do you have time to travel?
2. How many people are you going to travel with?
3. Where are you going to travel?
4. How do you plan to travel? Or what are you going to do with the RV?
5. Do you know what skills are needed for RV travel?
Are these questions very simple, I believe you already have your own answers. If you don’t mind, you can listen to my analysis.
1. Do you have time to travel?
For Chinese people, time cost is the highest cost. “When you have time, you don’t have money, and when you have money, you don’t have time.” This is the feeling of many RV owners after buying a RV. Because RV travel is a slow life, every time you arrive at a picturesque place, you don’t want to leave. Calculated in this way, a Beijing-Lhasa trip is not enough for two months. At the peak of your career, what you lack the most is time, which is probably why retirees account for the majority of RV players.
2. How many people are you going to travel with?
I believe you already have your own answer when you see the question. Those who plan to take the seven aunts and eight aunts out, please calm down. I tell you the answer is: “two people”. No matter how many people you plan to take on the trip, you will find that a reasonable and comfortable trip is two people. First of all, it is fine for the elderly to simply play for a few days, and it is not suitable for long-distance travel; secondly, if you plan to travel with children, give up! Children over the age of 10 don’t want to play with you. Third, relatives and friends. Don’t make trouble, will you? With such a small space in an RV, everything you plan to do at night will be exposed. (Add a digression, don’t ask how many people can sleep when buying a RV, it’s meaningless! Just satisfy the two of you)
3. Where are you going to travel?
Go wandering, no purpose is the best purpose of RV travel. It’s best to have a plan if possible and do your homework in advance. Because the place you want to go may not be suitable for RV travel, roads, camps, supplies, and policies are all roadblocks that hinder your progress. Another thing is to prepare some items in advance, such as preparing high-resistance drugs before entering Tibet, preparing insect repellent spray (although it is useless) when going to the grasslands, and bringing swimsuits when going to Hainan, etc. In short, if you have limited time, it is best to plan an exquisite route; if you have enough time, it is best to bring enough money; if you have both, then please prepare enough memory cards.
4. How do you plan to travel? Or what are you going to do with the RV?
RV life is very beautiful, because every day outside the window is a different view. RV life is equally trivial, there is no shortage of firewood, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar and tea. Everyone has different habits and hobbies, and what they do in the RV is also different. Here is a reminder: the space in the RV is limited, so give up the big plan.
5. Do you know what skills are needed for RV travel?
RV travel, in addition to play and life, there are still some things you need to do by yourself, and these things are often things you have never done. For example: cleaning the black water tank (toilet), replacing the fuse, vehicle maintenance… Not to mention being able to do all kinds of martial arts, at least one must dabble in it.
Let’s talk so much today, anyway, you won’t listen to me, I wish you a happy RV travel.
