Bentley’s Motorsports division to take on 2020 SRO GT eSports series

Crewe, 20 April 2020 Bentley Motorsport is about to take on the SRO GT eSports series for the first time. The race covers 6 rounds, and its organizer, SRO Race Group, has organized a number of high-profile offline GT3 races. 

At that time, Bentley Racing drivers will compete in the Pro category, professional gamers will challenge the Silver category, and provide strong support for other drivers in the series driving the new Continental GT3 sim racing car, including the Am category. Bentley employees and motor racing enthusiasts. 

To commemorate the first appearance of Bentley Motorsports in the e-sports series, Bentley’s 2020 season livery has appeared in the game “Assetto Corsa Competizione” (Assetto Corsa Competizione) for users to choose. The new Continental GT3 in this livery won the title at the Bathurst 12 Hours. 

Paul Williams, Director of Motorsports at Bentley, said: “Whether it’s a team driver, a professional gamer or someone else looking for fun, all participants who drive the new Continental GT3 sim race car are members of our eSports team. As part of the 2020 SRO As one of the participating manufacturers in the GT eSports series, we invited professional drivers to assist in the car setup.”

The SRO GT Esports Series covers 6 rounds, in line with the real-life GT World Challenge Europe. Since 2014, Bentley Motorsports has achieved success in the GT World Challenge Eurocup.

The Pro and Silver classes of the SRO GT Esports Series are restricted to professional players, while the Am class is open to all players of the Assetto Corsa Competitive Edition game. The event will hold an open qualifying session from April 26th to May 10th, and the top 40 players will qualify.
