On February 14, BMW China and BMW Brilliance announced that they would donate RMB 5 million to the Liaoning Provincial Charity Federation through the China Charity Federation BMW Warm Heart Fund, which will be used to support Shenyang’s fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic.

The donation will be mainly used to support Shenyang Sixth People’s Hospital (Shenyang Infectious Disease Hospital) to purchase urgently needed protective materials and medical equipment. In the fight against pneumonia, the Sixth People’s Hospital of Shenyang was ordered in the face of danger, and was designated by the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government as the Shenyang Center for the Centralized Treatment Center for New Coronary Pneumonia in Liaoning Province. The hospital not only faces Shenyang City, but also treats patients with new coronary pneumonia infection from eight brother cities including Anshan City, Tieling City, Liaoyang City, Fuxin City, Panjin City, Chaoyang City, Fushun City, and Benxi City. Liaoning Province has made significant contributions to the fight against the epidemic.
In addition to further proactively providing employees with anti-epidemic measures, BMW China and BMW Brilliance have provided timely and full support to the Chinese government and society in their fight against the epidemic. Following the two donations made on January 26 and February 12, BMW China and BMW Brilliance implemented the third donation this time, fully considering the urgent need to support the medical staff in Liaoning Province and Shenyang City in fighting the epidemic.
