As a world-renowned tire and rubber company, Bridgestone announced that it will participate in the annual International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in Las Vegas, USA for the first time from January 7 to 10, 2020. Bridgestone will demonstrate a series of mobility solutions interactively, focusing on extended mobility, efficient and safer autonomous driving future.
TJ Higgins, Bridgestone Vice President and Global Chief Strategy Officer, said: “CES provides an excellent opportunity for Bridgestone to demonstrate how we are transforming into a recognized and trusted provider of mobility solutions. With 90 Over the years of research and technology accumulation, Bridgestone is committed to creating high-quality products, services and solutions for users. Looking forward to the future, we will use our core technology and knowledge in the tire field, combined with a wide range of digital solutions to develop interconnected products and services , to promote safe and sustainable travel, and continue to contribute to social progress.”
Bridgestone will present a number of forward-looking mobile technologies at CES, including:
Bridgestone’s “non-pneumatic tires” for extensible mobility – In terms of product innovation, Bridgestone is committed to creating a safe and uninterrupted travel experience. At the exhibition, Bridgestone will demonstrate its advanced “non-pneumatic tire” series application concepts in passenger cars and commercial fleets, and show how “non-pneumatic tires” combine the tire’s tread and wheel into a high Strong, durable monocoque construction. This design not only solves the limitations of existing tires that need to be inflated to function and maintain, but also eliminates potential driving risks and troubleshooting time due to tire blowouts. In addition, Bridgestone will demonstrate a resilient non-pneumatic tire and wheel solution for the lunar rover.
Active Smart Tire Technology for Safety – The lack of information about the inner workings of tires and road conditions in today’s mobility technology is a major obstacle to fully autonomous driving. In response, Bridgestone leveraged its know-how, tire detectors and powerful simulation capabilities to create a new generation of digital tire twins. At the show, Bridgestone will demonstrate how its digital twin and connected technology can be used to generate concrete, actionable predictions that can improve the accuracy of vehicle safety systems.
Fleet management solutions for improving efficiency – Bridgestone’s fleet management solution platform can efficiently manage fleet operations through data analysis. At CES, consumers will be able to learn how telematics drives a connected vehicle ecosystem through a dynamic simulation platform.
