Chery’s “New Energy Vehicle Lightweight Technology Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory” was approved

Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province issued the “Notice on the Recognition of 22 Key Laboratories in Anhui Province” including “Aging Biomedicine”, and Chery New Energy was recognized as the “Key Laboratory of New Energy Vehicle Lightweight Technology in Anhui Province” and became one of the 5 selected laboratories. One of the provincial key laboratories for enterprises. The laboratory is also one of the few professional automobile lightweight laboratories in the country, which marks that Chery’s technological innovation ability has been affirmed again, and new progress has been made in the construction of scientific research and technological innovation platforms.

Chery's

Chery New Energy has been developing aluminum-based composite car bodies since 2015. In product development practice, it is necessary to not only solve engineering technical problems, but also overcome key common technical difficulties at the same time. To this end, Chery has jointly carried out national, provincial and ministerial-level research projects with the General Institute of Mechanical Engineering, the University of Science and Technology of China, and Hegong University, accumulating a large number of technical achievements and developing related experimental equipment. With the deepening of technological breakthroughs, Chery has deeply realized the necessity of research on new materials, new processes, and new structural mechanisms, and decided to set up a lightweight laboratory.

The laboratory is based on the industrial application of aluminum alloy materials, carbon fiber composite materials and other lightweight body materials, starting from solving the application difficulties in the forming, connection and testing of aluminum alloy and carbon fiber composite materials, combined with the development process of automobile products For the key links, five special laboratories have been identified, namely “lightweight design and simulation”, “lightweight material forming technology”, “aluminum alloy material connection technology”, “heterogeneous material connection technology” and “lightweight body system evaluation”. Research and Foresight Technology Studies.
