Guangzong Temple (South Temple)
Guangzong Temple (South Temple) Guangzong Temple is located in the Helan Mountain Nature Reserve, on the northwest side of the main peak of Helan Mountain, Bayin Senpur, more than 30 kilometers away from Bayanhot.
Guangzong Temple integrates Tibetan Buddhist culture and the natural scenery of Helan Mountain. In 2002, it was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The rock walls on both sides of the mountain gate are covered with painted Buddha statues, which is the largest group of stone Buddha statues in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Helan Mountain Fuyin Temple (North Temple)
The North Temple is located in Murengaole Sumu, Alxa Left Banner, in the middle of Helan Mountain, on the south side of Wuba Highway, about 25 kilometers away from Bayanhot. This is a large temple second only to Nan Temple in the Alxa League. There are 15 large and small temples and more than 100 buildings in the temple. Dingyuan Camp is located in Bayanhaote South Street, Alxa Left Banner. The original name of Bayanhot was “Dingyuanying”. The ancient city of Dingyuanying was built in the Qing Dynasty and has a history of hundreds of years. The emperor and princess of the Qing Dynasty married the Alxa prince, and the craftsmen who married them also brought the Beijing-style architectural style to the vast Gobi, so Bayanhot City built Beijing-style courtyards.
The Prince of Alxa built a mansion and a temple in Dingyuanying in imitation of the Summer Palace in Beijing, and built a residence in imitation of a courtyard in Beijing. Bayanhot has the reputation of “Little Beijing” outside the Great Wall.
