During the test, Eado PLUS crashed into a non-deformable steel wall at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour, and its collision strength was equivalent to an actual road traffic accident collision of 80 kilometers per hour, which extremely tested the crashworthiness of the car body. It is worth mentioning that, in order to verify the safety of the collision structure under extreme circumstances, Eado PLUS adopted a more stringent “four-door disassembly” rear collision on the basis of the traditional frontal collision, and tested the Eado PLUS without the door support. From the results of the crash test, after the EADO PLUS was subjected to a high-intensity impact, the front anti-collision beam and the energy-absorbing box at the front of the longitudinal beam were crushed and absorbed, and the rear of the longitudinal beam was bent. Eado PLUS adopts a high-strength energy-absorbing body structure to create a safety protection layer; the key passenger compartment areas are all made of 1500MPa ultra-high-strength steel plates, which is equivalent to a pressure of more than 15 tons per square centimeter. The application of high-strength steel for the car body accounts for 65%, exceeding the application level of high-strength steel materials for most joint venture models. These high-strength steels can form an ultra-high-strength closed-loop structure in various collision scenarios, fully protecting the living space of the occupants in the car.
The ultra-high-strength body of Eado PLUS also benefits from the laser welding technology adopted by Eado PLUS. The brazing strength of laser welding is 3.6 times higher than that of ordinary spot welding, and it can bear 550-600 kg per 25mm. It has stronger compression resistance and improves the stability of the cage structure of the car body. The transition from the top cover to the side wall is smooth, and there is no inherent flow tank of the traditional electric welding process, which makes the wind noise of Eado PLUS lower and the fuel consumption lower. In addition to having ultra-high-strength steel, Yidong PLUS also does a very good job in terms of active safety.
