[E Group Overseas Report] RVs based on classic off-road vehicles are often more attractive than RVs based on traditional pickup trucks. We have talked about the modification of this type of RV more than once before, and recently, there is another option of Land Rover Defender in the off-road RV camp built on the basis of off-road vehicles. Recently, the German RV company Matzker Officially launched a Land Rover Defender RV Matzker Defender MDX.
From the appearance point of view, the Matzker Defender MDX is based on the Land Rover Defender 110, and the living area is built behind the cab. The living area adopts the design of the lifting roof, and the upper part of the lifting roof is covered with solar panels to provide electricity for the living area. The facilities in the living area adopt an L-shaped foldable sofa and an independent kitchen, and also provide a retractable awning and an indoor toilet.
As an off-road touring car, Matzker Defender MDX focuses on strengthening off-road performance. A large winch is added in front of the front of the car, and a wading hose is added to the body. In addition, like the Land Rover Defender Rainforest Racing, the Matzker Defender MDX also adds an external roof roll cage, and places the spare wheel and toolbox above the roof. As an expansion of functions, the use of the roof roll cage with pedals also adds auxiliary light sources, rainforest cables and other configurations.
In terms of power, the Matzker Defender MDX is still equipped with the 2.2L four-cylinder diesel engine on the Land Rover Defender, but the maximum output power has been increased from 90 kW on the regular version to 125 kW.
