Recently, SAIC-GM Buick officially stated that the new generation of Encore GX and Encore will go on sale on July 11. As the first batch of new cars of GM’s next-generation global series introduced by the Buick brand, the new Encore family will be equipped with Smart Propulsion technology and “second engine” car-connected technology.
The new Encore GX draws on the design concept of the Buick Enspire concept car. The body size is 4463/1813/1653mm in length, width and height respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2640mm. It is positioned as a compact SUV. According to the official disclosure, Angkola GX’s intelligent driving assistance configuration will achieve a high proportion of coverage of 75% in all models.
In terms of power, the Angkola GX will be equipped with an Ecotec 1.3T direct-injection turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 165 horsepower. The transmission system is matched with a CVT continuously variable transmission (for front-wheel drive models) and a 9-speed automatic manual transmission (for timely four-wheel drive models) .
As another member of the Angkola family, the appearance of the new generation of Angkola is more fashionable than the current model, adopting a two-color roof design, and providing an exclusive appearance package and optional wheel inserts. The interior layout is closer to the operating habits of young people, and the entire center console and seats are decorated with double stitching to enhance the sense of class.
Based on the new-generation electronic architecture, the new Encore will be equipped with Buick eConnect 2.0 interconnection technology. The whole series is equipped with an 8-inch high-definition touch screen as standard, adopts a new card-type human-computer interaction interface, supports OTA remote upgrade, Super ID super account, WeChat music and location Car-connected functions such as delivery, pick-up/group travel, as well as Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife mobile phone mapping functions.
In terms of power, the new Encore will be equipped with 1.0T/1.3T two three-cylinder engines with maximum power of 116 horsepower and 158 horsepower respectively, while meeting the National VI emission standards.
