       This year’s event will be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions and methods of the “General Rules for Cross-Country Rally Competitions in 2019”, “Technical Rules for Vehicles in Off-Road Races in 2019”, “Work Manual of China Automobile and Motorcycle Federation” and “Rules for Asian Baja Races”.

3. Driver qualifications:

1. Domestic drivers and pilots who register to participate in the professional car group and truck group must hold a valid competition license of the China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation (hereinafter referred to as the China Automobile and Motorcycle Federation) in 2019 at R, A or B level.

      Competitors from Hong Kong, China, Macau and Chinese Taipei can sign up for the competition with the current valid race license issued by the auto association they belong to, and the letter of consent from the auto association they belong to or the registration form stamped with the association’s seal.

      Foreign racers can sign up for the competition with the valid competition license issued by the auto association of the year, and the consent letter of the auto association or the registration form stamped with the association’s seal.

2. Competitors from Hong Kong, China, Macau, Chinese Taipei, and foreign countries also need to hold a temporary driver’s license in China, which must be obtained by an individual when entering the country.

Tournament schedule:

(1) Vehicle qualification and group

1. Vehicle group

      The racing car must abide by the safety rules formulated by the “Road Traffic Law” and the relevant provisions of the China Automobile Federation’s 2019 Auto Off-Road Series Vehicle Technical Regulations “General Rules for Modification” (G282) and “Safety Equipment and Modification” (G283).

1.1. Two-wheel drive group: including vehicle level

– T1 two-wheel drive group: Two-wheel drive modified off-road vehicles that comply with the “Special Rules for Modified Vehicles (T1) Group” (G285)

– Open group: follow the inspection standards of China Autocross Championship

1.2. Four-wheel drive group: including vehicle level

– T1 four-wheel drive group: Four-wheel drive modified off-road vehicles that comply with the “Special Rules for Modified Vehicles (T1) Group” (G285)

– Group T2.1: Gasoline mass-produced off-road vehicles that comply with the “Special Rules for Mass-Production Vehicles (T2) Group” (G284)

– Group T2.2: Diesel mass-produced off-road vehicles that comply with the “Special Rules for Group Production Vehicles (T2)” (G284)

1.3, UTV group: including vehicle level

– Group T3.1: Naturally aspirated engine light off-road vehicles in compliance with the “Special Rules for Modified Vehicles (T3) Group” (G286)

– Group T3.2: Supercharged engine light off-road vehicles in compliance with the “Special Rules for Modified Vehicles (T3) Group” (G286)

1.4. Truck group

– Group T4: Off-road trucks complying with the Special Rules for Group Trucks (T4) (G287).

2. Precautions for each group

      The competition accepts T1 (T1 four-wheel drive group, T1 two-wheel drive group), T2, T3, open group, T4 group, and car registrations. T2 and T4 only accept registration from manufacturers, and they must be registered in accordance with the “Regulations for Vehicle Registration of T2 and T4 Groups of the 2019 Auto Off-Road Series”.

      Vehicles in Group T3 accept registration from manufacturers and clubs. (T3 vehicles must undergo a pre-competition pre-race inspection. Vehicles that fail to pass the pre-inspection will not be accepted for registration.) If domestic manufacturers of temporary import and export vehicles cannot provide registration procedures, they must provide relevant information from foreign modification agencies. Modification certification and registration procedures can only be registered after being approved by the China Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, and the entry and exit procedures must be uniformly handled by the China Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.

      Vehicles in Group T2 may be allowed to compete in Group T1.

3. The competition compulsorily implements the following regulations:

– Subsection G285.3.2.1 of Group T1, concerning the limitation of vehicle body width.

– Section G283.14, and all provisions of each group of special rules regarding safety tanks.

– Regulations on helmets, HANS, and FHR systems in Appendix 1 and 2 of the Work Manual of CAMF.

– The specifications of the engine intake restrictor are as follows:

T1 (T1 four-wheel drive group, T1 two-wheel drive group), T2, open group, and T4 group do not implement the following regulations temporarily:

– G283.7.1.1, provisions concerning automatic fire extinguishers.

– Provisions in Group T2 G284.6.1 concerning the prohibition of the use of turbocharged gasoline engines.

4. T3 group safety modification rules and related precautions

(1) Enforce the following rules

– Article 3 of G283 on automatic oil circuit disconnectors, pipelines, fuel pumps and cables.

– Article 7 of G283 on fire extinguishing systems and manual fire extinguishers.

– Article 13 of G283 on main line disconnectors.

– Article 14 of G283 and Article 1 of G286 concerning safety fuel tanks.

– Article 15 of G283 on fire protection.

– Article 8 of G283 on the structure of the roll cage. And file and register the modified roll cage.

– For T3 engine lead seals, no matter what the reason (damage, inspection, maintenance) is, the act of unsealing the lead seal is considered as an engine replacement, and a penalty time is required.

(2) A pre-competition pre-race inspection system will be implemented for registered vehicles before the deadline for race registration. Vehicles that fail the pre-competition inspection will not be accepted for registration. To apply for a pre-competition inspection, the following documents must be submitted.

– Registration form for roll cage modifications

– Safety fuel tank and pipeline modification and certification filing form

– Competitor Safety Equipment Record Form

– Engine seal solution

5. Other matters

      The special stage of this competition will be opened in advance, and the team will go to the stage to conduct road survey and road book preparation according to the stage location, route data and other information provided by the organizing committee.

      Due to the long distance of the special stage, the team can arrange refueling points and change the position of the team members according to the battery life of the vehicle itself.
