From June 11th, the extreme travel team bid farewell to Lhasa, and started the second journey of Princess Wencheng’s journey to Tibet – the extreme travel of Tang and Tibetan ancient roads! This road is where you can experience the difficulties of Princess Wencheng and her party traveling on foot or in a carriage without a car!
The Tang-Tibet Ancient Road is a very famous traffic avenue in the ancient history of our country, and it is also the only way for the Central Plains to go to Qinghai, Tibet, Nepal, India and other countries since the Tang Dynasty. It starts from Xi’an (Chang’an) in Shaanxi Province, passes through Gansu and Qinghai, and ends in Lhasa (Lhasa) in Tibet, with a total length of more than 3,000 kilometers, more than half of which is in Qinghai. The entire ancient road traverses the west of China, crosses the world-famous Roof of the World, and connects friendly neighbors in the southwest of my country, so it is also known as the South Silk Road.
The Tang and Fan ancient road, the Chinese pinyin is: táng bō gǔ dào, also known as Mantouling (ancient) post road, today’s 214 National Road. The famous Princess Wencheng married Tubo King Songtsan Gampo on this road. Its formation and smooth flow have a history of more than 1300 years.
Yesterday, I was on the road almost all day, covering more than 760 kilometers of national roads. I started at 9:00 in the morning and arrived at the county seat of Suo County after 9:00 in the evening. This place is small and the hotels are still full. The main reason is that this place is a distribution center for fresh Cordyceps trading, and each Cordyceps can reach 20-25 yuan. The first time I saw such a scene, I felt very fresh! Yesterday, I asked the little girls who dig Cordyceps, they can dig 50-100 a day, earn a lot of money!
National Highway 317 (or “National Highway 317”, “G317 Line”) is a national highway in China, also known as the northern line of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, the branch line of National Highway 318, starting from Chengdu, Sichuan, and going to Nagqu, Tibet, with a mileage of 2030 kilometers. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the end point of the extension was Gar County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet.
It turns out that roads are being built in the east of Qamdo 317. It feels good to walk down these few days. There are not many places to build roads, so it is easy to walk! It can be said to be a good route to Tibet!
On the way, we also went to the village where the Cordyceps was excavated, not for buying, just to understand the real life! However, it is quite expensive here, 70 yuan a piece! Therefore, Cordyceps is still purchased at the distribution center, which is relatively cheap!
In the evening, everyone sat together to grab red envelopes, laughing constantly! The fatigue of the day melted away! a happy day!
