A few days ago, online media captured the spy photos of the GAC New Energy Aion LX model. Aion LX is the first strategic SUV model under the Aion system of GAC New Energy. When the production of the GE3 model is discontinued, Aion LX will also become the only SUV model of GAC New Energy. Compared with the show car at the Shanghai Auto Show, the spy photos of the Aion LX model use parts from other models on the front face, but the exterior cover reflects that the final mass-produced model is expected to have little change from the show car. Aion LX is expected to adopt highly recognizable LED headlights, and there will undoubtedly be tear-eye designs on both sides, bringing a sharper visual impact. On the side of the body, Aion LX adopts a suspended roof design, with a waistline extending to the rear of the car, the body posture is very sporty. As an electric vehicle that does not need to consider the engine layout, the wheelbase of Aion LX is as long as 2900mm, which is comparable to a C-class car. In terms of suspension, Aion LX is equipped with a CDC full-time adaptive damping system that is rarely seen in the field of new energy pure electric vehicles. At the rear of the car, the D-pillar of Aion LX has a relatively large inclination angle, which is matched with the sharp rear spoiler to create a strong sense of movement. At the same time, the penetrating LED light source taillights echo the headlights, catering to the current popular design trend.
Considering that the interior of the Aion LX has not been announced at the Shanghai Auto Show, the interior is covered with thick camouflage compared to the bare exterior. However, through some exposed details, we can also get a glimpse of the interior styling of Aion LX. First of all, there is a high probability that Aion LX will adopt the family-style interior styling of Aion S, and the dual-screen design will undoubtedly have a sense of technology. In the platform area, the designer suspected that he still used a whole piece of piano black material, but the shift mechanism seems to have become a knob-type shift mechanism that can be raised and lowered.
In terms of power, Aion LX has not released much information so far, but it is expected that the NEDC cruising range will be increased to 600km. Considering that GAC New Energy builds the Aion LX based on a platform specially developed for new energy vehicles, this car is expected to strike a good balance between cruising range and price.
