[E family overseas report] At first glance, Mitsubishi’s concept car at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show gives people a sense of sight that now is the future. This is also in line with the status quo of Mitsubishi in recent years. New concepts have emerged one after another, but the products available on the market are still those “classic cars”.
At this year’s Geneva International Motor Show, Mitsubishi’s real highlight is the facelifted Mitsubishi ASX, which is called Jinxuan in the Chinese market and Outlander Sport in the North American market. From its official listing in 2009 to the present, this year happens to be the tenth year of Jinxuan’s release. According to the practice of auto market replacement every six years, the small facelift released at the Geneva International Motor Show this year should be a small facelift of its new generation model, but the reality is that it is still the same as the Jinxuan ten years ago.
From the appearance point of view, the small facelift Mitsubishi Jinxuan launched this time has completely abandoned the shark face style of the previous generation and replaced it with a new hourglass-shaped front face. The big change in the style of the front face also makes the changes in the overall style of the small facelift Mitsubishi Jinxuan more clear, and the sense of technology can be refined. However, as a small facelift model, its body has not changed much, so the visual impact it can bring is not great.
In terms of color matching, the newly remodeled Mitsubishi Jinxuan has added three new color matching, and the use of these three color matching is also extremely bold and jumping, including diamond red, sunshine orange, and oak brown. At the rear of the vehicle, a wrap-around taillight image is adopted. The interior of the vehicle has not changed much, except for an 8-inch LCD display.
In terms of power, the facelift Mitsubishi Jinxuan sold in the European market will add a new 1.6L power and 2.2L diesel power. The former has a maximum output of 114 horsepower, and the latter has a maximum output of 150 horsepower. Just like the previously released Delica, when we thought it was ushering in a new generation of models, we finally found out that it was a major facelift. Judging from the current situation of Mitsubishi, this is a good choice. Old models that have passed the high-cost period still have to continue to contribute profits.
