In October last year, Isuzu officially released the third-generation D-Max. In the early days, the new generation of Isuzu D-Max launched a total of three types of cabs: two-seater, single-seater and one-and-a-half-row cabs, and also provided the aftermarket with a choice of platform vehicles. In the following six months, Isuzu obviously did not sit idle. Recently, Isuzu officially released three models based on the new generation D-MAX.
The three derivative models based on the new generation of Isuzu D-Max are Tipper, GO2 and XTR.
Among them, the Tipper version is based on the Isuzu D-max with a row and a half cab, but its cargo box adopts the Australian Tippadeck cargo box. Compared with the normal version of the cargo box, this cargo box system is 18mm thicker Aluminum alloy floor and 300mm railing.
A cargo box lifting mechanism is provided under the cargo box, and the function of dumping is realized through the hydraulic system. Obviously, the Tipper version of the Isuzu D-Max is a tool truck prepared for the construction site. In order to cope with the heavy load on the construction site and the complex road environment, the Tipper version of the Isuzu D-Max is also equipped with steel wheels and mud tires.
The GO2 version of D-Max can be regarded as a high-performance version of D-Max, and its overall focus is on enhancing extreme off-road performance. In terms of chassis, the high-performance suspension package of Pedders TrakRyder eXtreme has been upgraded. The front suspension provides nitrogen shock absorbers with adjustable damping and high-performance springs with better linearity, while the rear axle uses heavy-duty leaf springs and is matched with adjustable shock absorbers.
In terms of external configuration, the GO2 version of Isuzu D-Max provides a set of ARB sports bars with anti-collision bullpens, and integrates winches and auxiliary light sources on them.
The lower part of the body is protected by a fully covered guard plate, LED auxiliary light sources are added to the top of the vehicle, wading hoses and 33-inch mud tires are also added. In terms of cargo boxes, the GO2 version of Isuzu D-Max provides a set of multifunctional cargo box drawers.
Compared with the GO2 version, the XTR version will be milder, and its main positioning is to provide off-road enthusiasts with a family car that can expand their lifestyle. The high-speed cross-country crossing ability is the detail to be strengthened in the XTR version.
From the appearance point of view, the XTR version of D-Max has redesigned the image of the front of the car, using a Baja racing-style styling feature to form the main visual language of the front of the car. From the perspective of configuration, the XTR version retains the standard cargo box and adds a black coating to the cargo box.
In terms of chassis, the XTR version also provides Pedders customized high-performance suspension, the ground clearance is increased to 250mm, and it is matched with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels and AT tires. With the upgrade of the chassis kit, the XTR version of the Isuzu D-Max also presents a lively and handsome side.
