Before that, DAMO also launched the big G version of the Jimny kit.
Visually, the Jimny’s transformation into a Land Rover Defender is convincing thanks to its boxy shape. However, different from the big G kit launched by Lierty Walk before, this time the Jimny small D kit designed by DAMO is a two-version model, covering the K-Car version of the Jimny in Japan and the small SUV in overseas markets. There are two versions of the Jimny.
Compared with the small SUV version, the K-Car version of the Jimny adopts narrow tires and cancels the wide body kit in order to meet the requirements of regulations. So this also makes this small D kit version of the K-car version of the Jimny look even cuter.
Like the Land Rover Defender, the hood changes became the focus of the small D kit. Compared with the regular version of the Jimny, the design of the small D kit adjusts the radian of the hood and raises the center of the hood, so as to cater more to the design style of the Land Rover Defender. The whole body composed of headlights and air intake grille and completely changed to the style of Land Rover Defender, mainly composed of horizontal lines and black plastic form a visual whole.
In order to further enhance the off-road atmosphere, the small D package version of the Jimny is also replaced with a sports bar, and the wheels are retro steel wheels with all-terrain narrow tires. The use of narrow tires makes the K-car version of the Jimny D very well in line with the style of the Land Rover Series era. Naturally, accessories such as the top frame have also been added to the roof. The small SUV version of the Jimny small D kit caters more to the design of the Defender era under the effect of large arguments and wide tires.
