However, the reality is that after Kia Ba Rui was launched in the North American and Chinese markets, the market response was not as expected by Kia, and the Ba Rui was not a hot seller. When the Kia Telluride debuts, most people will think that this load-bearing medium and large SUV will eventually replace the Pa Rui. This makes many fans of hard-core off-road vehicles feel sorry for this. After all, there are fewer and fewer hard-core off-road vehicles available in the market now.
Things turned around in January this year. At that time, foreign media exposed a group of road test spy photos of the new generation of Kia Ba Rui, which still has a non-load-bearing body structure and is still positioned as a high-end off-road vehicle. Of course, there will be Kia’s consistent cost-effective advantages. A few days ago, Kia officially released a concept car called Mohave Masterpiece at the Seoul International Motor Show. The car logo still retains the exclusive car logo of Ba Rui. Obviously, this is the concept preview of the new generation Pa Rui.
Judging from the released information, the new Mohave Masterpiece concept car continues the positioning of Kia Pa Rui, adopting a non-load-bearing body structure. In terms of the composition of the vehicle’s posture, Kia Mohave Masterpiece is basically consistent with Kia Pa Rui. Considering the vehicle characteristics of non-load-bearing body structure, the new Kia Mohave Masterpiece concept car is also expected to continue the platform of the current Kia Ba Rui.
The structure of the non-load-bearing body makes the Kia Mohave Masterpiece concept car present a handsome and tall side. The shape of the front face adopts the current Kia’s new generation of family design, and a conceptual evolution has been carried out on this basis. The concept of the headlight group has been completely canceled, and four independently placed LED light sources appear as part of the air intake grille parameter pattern. The LED daytime running lights form the main body of the entire air intake grille. The image of the front face completely breaks through the cognition of the front face layout of traditional models. Like the Prado, the Kia Mohave Masterpiece concept car also adds a groove to the hood, which will play a very obvious role in improving the front and lower vision of the vehicle.
From the perspective of the rear 45 degrees, the Kia Mohave Masterpiece concept car will be closer to the current model, but the image of the taillights has been optimized and upgraded. Based on this, it can also be inferred that the new-generation Pa Rui concept represented by Mohave Masterpiece is likely to be a major facelift of the current Pa Rui. This is also very understandable, after all, this type of model tends to have a longer life cycle.
