Mazda Motor Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Mazda”)’s first mass-produced pure electric vehicle “MAZDA MX-30” made its world premiere at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show (hosted by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association).
As the third product in Mazda’s next-generation commodity cluster, MX-30 further deepens the bond with the majority of users by maximizing the use of the inherent characteristics of pure electric vehicles and uniquely creative time and space design, and realizes the convenience of driving. The latter is more natural, and the driving performance is pleasant from the bottom of the heart.

Adhering to the design concept of “Car as Art”, MX-30 continues the design style of “KODO: Soul of motion” in terms of design, and realizes a more expressive body design while further sublimating the artistic level . In addition, throughout the body design process, Mazda has also introduced the design concept of “Human Modern”, based on handcrafted and sophisticated manufacturing techniques, so that the car caters to changes in future values and a more novel lifestyle.
In terms of interior design, the distinctive shape design around the center console creates an open visual effect and space atmosphere. The interior of the car is made of environmentally friendly materials composed of cork and recycled materials, and the natural charm of the material itself creates a comfortable and pleasant interior space. In addition, the MX-30 adopts a free-style door design*2, which further develops free creativity and brings users a more colorful life of owning a car.
In order to achieve the consistent “driving pleasure” like a man and a horse, based on the “people-oriented” research and development concept, the pure electric vehicle (EV) adopts the new electrification technology platform “e-SKYACTIV”, which integrates the control feeling at will and the smoothness of the body. The advanced driving performance is perfectly integrated at a higher level, allowing drivers to enjoy driving fun naturally.
Mr. Akira Marumoto, Chairman and CEO of Mazda, said: “No matter what era, Mazda’s goal is to brighten the lives of car owners. In the future, we will continue to accept challenges and create original cars. Automotive products and technologies have made the Mazda brand more loved by car owners and will be with them forever.”
