[e Group Overseas Report] Mitsubishi has become a big player in concept cars at major auto shows since financial problems a few years ago. At the recently held 40th Bangkok International Motor Show, Mitsubishi launched a brand new Triton Absolute concept car. Compared with the ordinary version of Mitsubishi Triton, the Triton Absolute concept car completes the construction of the concept with a more off-road-style exterior kit.
From the appearance point of view, the Mitsubishi Triton Absolute concept car expands the function of the gantry, and forms an integrated design with the side tie rods of the cargo box and the roof luggage rack. The use of this detail has obviously changed the upper body line of the Mitsubishi Triton Absolute concept car, making it appear more sporty and futuristic. In the area of the roof rack, the Mitsubishi Triton Absolute concept car also added LED auxiliary light sources and fixing rings to expand the functional requirements.
In terms of other details, the Mitsubishi Triton Absolute Concept adds silver and red panels to the front bumper. The newly added kits are all made of carbon fiber materials, and the texture embellishment of the materials is also in place. At the same time, the tires also use a combination of black wheels with bead locks and mud tires, and the ground clearance of the vehicle has also been raised to a certain extent.
According to Mitsubishi’s official information, the new Mitsubishi Triton Absolute concept car will emphasize the concepts of durability, off-road passability and power. However, in terms of power and four-wheel drive system, the Triton Absolute concept car has not changed much. It is worth noting that this concept based on the current model will most likely appear in the aftermarket as a kit. This is good news for the Southeast Asian market, the main market of Mitsubishi Triton.
