Ford Bronco has always had a very good reputation in the circle of North American off-road enthusiasts before the 1990s. So when Ford releases the revived Ford Bronco, all the news about the new generation of Ford Bronco can be instantly searched.
ICON, a well-known old car restoration company in North America, has launched a restored Ford Bronco.
The ICON restored Ford Bronco was built between 1966 and 1977 with the internal codename BR. From the appearance point of view, the focus of ICON restoration is to reshape the classic design of the 1960s, and at the same time to rationalize some details. For example, a set of electric pedals has been added, and the image of the high-gloss bumper has been optimized to make it look more gentle. The wheels continue the typical steel wheel shape of the 1960s, and the color of the wheels and the detachable roof form the same beige color. In addition, part of the LED light source also appeared on the modified model.
The image of the interior of the vehicle is also based on restoring the classic design, but during the restoration process, aluminum or stainless steel knobs are added to enhance the metal feel. In terms of internal configuration, Kenwood’s head is added, which can realize functions such as GPS and smart phone interconnection. The internal leather texture material is covered with artificial leather to improve the durability of the interior. The steering gear is upgraded to a version with power assist, which effectively improves the convenience of handling.
In terms of power, the restored Ford Bronco launched by ICON is equipped with a 5.0L V8 naturally aspirated power sourced from the Ford Mustang GT, with a maximum output of 426 horsepower. The matching exhaust system is also made of stainless steel to provide a pleasant sound. Transmission offers a choice of Aisin’s AX15 five-speed manual or Ford’s 4R75W four-speed automatic. The four-wheel drive system uses the Advance Adapters Atlas II series transfer case, which can provide six different transfer ratio options.
