It has to be admitted that Toyota Prado is a very successful model, and its success lies in that, in addition to having a balanced product performance, it can also easily control various modification styles. At the end of 2017, the Prado of the LC150 series officially launched the second modified model. Compared with the previous first modified model, the second modified LC150 re-adjusted the shape of the front face, making it more Kong Wu is powerful.
With the debut of the new car, the corresponding modification plan will also come. The modification cases of the three Prados to be discussed next come from the modification company ELFORD. The three plans cover two modification styles of off-road and VIP. ELFORD is based in the refitting industry by focusing on SUV body kits and wheels. ELFORD is very good at portraying different vehicle styles with kits and wheels.
Among the three Prado modification plans released by ELFORD, the off-road-focused version is named OFF Style.
From the appearance point of view, ELFORD focuses on the design of the bumper kit for this modification. At the front of the vehicle, the OFF Style version of the Prado uses steel pipes with a diameter of 76.3 mm to construct the front bumper in the image of an anti-collision corner, and additional auxiliary light sources are arranged above it. Also upgraded are the side steps. The hood has been replaced with a carbon fiber structure and additional air intakes have been added above it. The air intake grille is designed as a Jeep-style six-hole air intake grille. From the perspective of styling inheritance, I personally think that this six-hole air intake grille is somewhat superfluous. The grille is the symbolic inheritance of the Jeep family. It would be a bit presumptuous to apply this element to the Prado under such a well-known premise. Of course, judging from the overall effect, it is not bad.
The functional area of the roof is expanded to a small-sized top frame, and at the same time, in order to meet the placement requirements of the top frame, an additional boarding ladder is added to the rear tailgate Shanghai. At the same time, the size of the rear spoiler has also been increased. Under the rear bumper, the steel protective kit integrates the reserved square opening for the trailer, and is matched with a bilateral double-outlet high-performance exhaust system.
In terms of chassis, the OFF Style version of the Prado is equipped with BFGoodrich KM3 mud tires and ELFORD six-hole forged wheels. The tire size has been upgraded to 285/70 R17, and the body height has also been raised to a certain extent.
After this series of modifications, the hard-core off-road vehicle side of the OFF Style version of the Prado can be presented, and this is also in line with what an omnipotent Prado should have. Due to space limitations, we will talk about the modification plans of the three Prados in several installments. In the next post, we will take a look at the different styles of the Prado.
