On October 10, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center released the third batch of C-NCAP model evaluation results in 2019. The electric smart supercar SUV Roewe MARVEL X won the five-star safety certification with a comprehensive score of 91.6%, and won the highest rating in the competition. It won the crown, beating SAIC Volkswagen Lavida, FAW Toyota Asia Dragon, Beijing Hyundai Shengda, Chery Tiggo 8 and other models that participated in the test. At the same time, the Roewe MARVEL X is also a pure electric vehicle with the highest active safety score since the implementation of the “C-NCAP Management Rules (2018 Edition)”.
As a highly valuable evaluation in the field of domestic automobile safety, the official evaluation test of C-NCAP consists of three parts: active safety, occupant protection and pedestrian protection, covering electrical safety test, AEB test, real vehicle crash test, whipping test and other items. Users provide systematic and objective vehicle safety information consideration standards. Moreover, all evaluation vehicles are randomly purchased by the C-NCAP management center from 4S stores, and are not delivered by the manufacturer. The media is also allowed to participate in the purchase process to further ensure the fairness of the evaluation.
In this C-NCAP test, Roewe MARVEL X showed a very high safety quality, with a score rate of 100% in the active safety part, which is at the same level as the two luxury brand models BMW X3 and Audi Q5L. -One of the only three full-score models since the implementation of NCAP.
