He is a cross-country member. My long-cherished wish is to travel all over the mountains and rivers, but I only go beyond the wild. Going up to the old and down to the small, there are many people in the car, walk slowly all the way, see the scenery and human feelings along the way, enjoy the journey, and don’t rush to charge. Because of this slow enjoyment, why not call yourself a “cross-country slow family”!
Opening picture: This place is called Shabaltu, in Inner Mongolia, it is a place so small that it can hardly be found on the map in the southern part of the vast and boundless Inner Mongolia grassland.
But when you walk in, you feel boundless. This is the definition of grassland.
Go further in, not in a hurry. The flocks are all over the land, and the moon is still on the side of the sunny day, so what are we anxious about?
New car, maiden voyage, 8 ports up and down, GL8 is just right. The function of the panel is clear, and the Bluetooth navigation is convenient. After leaving Beijing, there are green mountains on both sides, all the way uphill. After crossing the high point of Yehuling and approaching Inner Mongolia, the road is flat and there are very few vehicles. Road: Beijing-Tibet, Zhangshi, Xizhang section three expressways.
Gongbaolage is a Mongolian pastoral area in Taipusi Banner of Xilin Gol League, which means “deep spring” in Mongolian. Baidu search: “The grassland features are well preserved. It is the only area that gathers the nine types of grasslands in Inner Mongolia. It is also the most gorgeous and magnificent area of grasslands in northern China. It is known as the “Paradise Grassland”. The Royal Horse Farm, at most, raised more than 70,000 horses of royal blood, which are exclusively for the royal military horses and royal meat and milk.” It was raining and the temperature was 15 degrees when we arrived.
Turn around, the rain is over and the sky is sunny.
Baoenben Gacha, which means “herdsman village with rolling hills” in Mongolian, is located on the east edge of the original ecological pastoral area of Gongbaorag Grassland. Further to the east is Baochang, the town of Taipusi Banner. From west to south to north, there are boundless pastures. Not far from the nearest expressway, 5 kilometers from the nearest gas station. Behind the Yuanshang Rainbow Inn where we live is the 10,000-acre Grass Kulun in Taipusi Banner. It is dazzlingly beautiful in summer with lush wild flowers.
But we came too early, just a large piece of fresh green with rolling hills and occasional small flowers. There is a small lake under the hillside, and there is a small river in the pasture south of G207. Bao En is divided into Dongying and Xiying, but there are no more than 20 families at most, all of whom are herdsmen. The horses we rode and the meadow carts we drove belonged to nearby herdsmen. The basic meat and dairy products are also handmade by nearby herdsmen after grazing and milking. Later, we went deep into the grassland and found that the places we passed on the grassland had little difference in the types of food and drink, but the taste was slightly different.
There are horses and grass motorcycles at the door of the place where I live.
Bao Enben Gacha is very beautiful. In the morning, cattle and sheep are grazing quietly by the small water, and the scenery in the painting.
The small river in the southern pasture, the horses are always here, I came across a dramatic scene later, which deepened my understanding of the grassland, and I was pleasantly surprised.
Concrete roads are paved in many places on the grassland, except for special areas, our car is completely able to drive it!
This is the monument with the inscription written by Premier Zhu Rongji, and below it is the ten thousand mu grass Kulun.
The shepherds are also paying great attention to protecting the pastures. I can’t help but imagine the wild flowers blooming here…
Shabaltu Gacha means “mudflat by the water” in Mongolian. On the northwest side of Bunben Gacha. Sure enough, there is a large water pool, the sky and the earth are vast, and there are water birds coming and going. I only came here because I heard people said that there were migrating birds. There are also herds of horses by the water, and the north bank is the village of Shabaltu, no wonder it is called a herdsman village on the mudflat. There are flocks of sheep on the hillside behind the village. Approaching the shepherd’s house, the simple house, the long pile of cow and sheep manure, the locomotive for cutting grass, and the white sheep and red cattle, but there are no people. I really want to see the shepherd’s house!
There are black and white water birds flying and preying on the water surface. There are not enough lenses to take a clear picture.
After the horses are moored to the shore, Shabaltu Gacha lives facing the water.
There seem to be more herdsmen here than Bunben Gacha, and the white dots on the hillside behind must be sheep.
The shepherd’s house looks very quiet, the sheep run around casually, there is a small house and a small car, and there are two long piles of cow and sheep dung. I later learned that when the grasslands lacked fuel, these dried cow and sheep dung were the only fuel for the shepherds. They usually cooked rice and tea, and kept warm in winter, so the front and back of the house were essential.
This tractor-like machine, I asked, is a grass trimmer. In autumn, herdsmen will harvest and bundle mature pastures to store winter fodder.
