“That year, we drew a circle in northern Tibet” (1) Why we set off

You can spend a lot of money on a cruise ship in the Caribbean, or spend a lot of money in a famous brand store in Manhattan; you can work hard from 9 to 5 in a factory, or you can be too busy editing PPTs.

Whether you are rich or poor, there is an experience that you may never experience, that is, walking through the boundless wilderness of Changtang, with like-minded brothers, day and night.

It doesn’t matter whether the mountains are high or the road is far away, it doesn’t matter whether you are hungry or cold, just to experience once, the heroism of walking through the wilderness and plateau, and the thrill of living to death.

Here, some landscapes are unimaginable pictures, and some emotions are blazing that you can’t predict.

Traveling is life, traveling is practice.

Bring your soul, experience your life in another way, find your former self, and meet your original heart.

In fact, let go of the fear of the unknown, firm your footsteps, nothing can stop your determination to move forward.

The owed trip will one day bloom brightly during the journey.

As Takeshi Kitano said, “I don’t want a boring life.”

Located in the Qiangtang Plateau in Tibet, China, its area includes parts of the north of Nagqu and the east of Ngari, and even includes a large area of land at the source of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. It is called “forbidden zone of human life”.

Qiangtang means “Northern Highland” in Tibetan, and refers specifically to the northern Tibetan plateau, with an average altitude of over 5,000 meters. It is a paradise for wild animals and plants, and it is also a fertile cultural soil with rich sedimentary layers. Known as “the roof of the roof of the world”.

The endless plateau snow-capped mountains and dotted lakes not only moisten the entire Qiangtang Plateau, but also the most beautiful scenery in Qiangtang. Qiangtang National Nature Reserve is also located in the northern Tibetan Plateau. It is the place where groups of large wild animals can be seen in the wild in China. It is currently the largest and best-preserved wild animal habitat in China. Wild yaks, Tibetan antelopes, Tibetan wild ass, argali, Tibetan gazelle, plateau rabbit, black-necked crane and many other rare wild animals inhabit here.

Because of its extremely harsh natural environment, it is almost inaccessible. It is such a piece of heaven and earth, but it has attracted the attention of very few people. In April 2016, a cross-country convoy started a trip across the Qiangtang Plateau.

They are from the off-road e family.

Walking in Qiangtang, you will appreciate the insignificance and loneliness of life, and marvel at the vastness and breadth of the wilderness. It is indeed difficult to describe everything in front of you with words. All you can do is touch this ancient and desolate wilderness with your eyes, and perceive its tranquility and depth with your heart.

Nature endows Qiang Tang with instantaneous changes and hundreds of millions of years of silence, and you will only understand it when you are in it!
