Some time ago, I saw two sealing strips on someone’s Lexus LX470, and I was moved. I bought two and started to install them when they arrived today.
Very simple, interested can install a pair.
First, find this position, and use a sharp screwdriver to open the hole (reserved by the original car).
The second step is to clean the front part of the rear door and snap the button into the opened position.
The third step is to tear off the plastic strips covering the rubber strips, there are two on each strip, tear off with one hand and press with the other hand to maintain fit and flatness.
Finally, cut off the excess part according to the bottom arc and the work is completed. The picture below is the before and after installation comparison, let’s start tossing, brothers.
The armrest box is large, and two of the cushions are broken. Just replace all five of them.
By the way, the cushions of the two doors are also patched.
Complete the annual inspection, buy insurance, continue to toss, and the next step is to replace the original double-hole fuel filler.

As for the installation of auxiliary fuel tanks, I have some ideas of my own:
1. Regarding the fuel port: there is no need to buy a double-hole fuel pipe, just use the original car. Open an oil guide hole at a suitable position, and then connect the exhaust pipe to the main exhaust pipe. The advantage is that it can be used regardless of the size of the oil gun.
2. Regarding the switching of main and auxiliary fuel tanks: (1) Adding a full set of auxiliary fuel tanks and accessories of the original car: This project is a bit large, and the technical requirements are relatively high, and it is difficult to change to the original car effect. Lead to insensitive response and unsmooth switching.
(2) Connect the two oil drain screw holes together. 2 pagoda joints, 2 hollow screws, 2 hoops, 1 1.5m oil-resistant pipe, 10 cable ties (stainless steel is best). The auxiliary fuel tank is 24 cm higher than the main fuel tank. When the main fuel tank is short of fuel, the auxiliary fuel tank will automatically replenish oil, and the fuel gauge will not move. When the oil gauge changes, the oil in the auxiliary fuel tank is almost used up. The remaining mileage of the car can be displayed normally, and the remaining mileage indicates that it can run at least XXX kilometers.
(3) The main and auxiliary fuel tanks adopt the siphon principle, making full use of the oil return and oil outlet pipes of the main and auxiliary fuel tanks, avoiding (2) this method with a strong sense of cottage. What is needed is to install a special siphon. There is another method that I think is general, so I won’t talk about it here.
It is convenient and quick to refuel, and there is no need to shake the body to exhaust the air. In the past, it took half an hour to fill up a full tank of gas, and it was not necessarily full.
If the sunroof makes abnormal noises, press and hold your fingers to see if the sound is still there. If it does not sound, remove it, and then use your hands to gently move the four points to see if there is any elasticity. If there is no elasticity, it will be broken. Just restore the position and make some “good friends” to stick it together. The one below is what I made a year ago. I took it apart and took a look today. It’s pretty good.

A friend gave me a set of fire extinguisher brackets, I received it today, how can I let it stay overnight according to my temper.
After taking it apart, I found that there is no fixed nut on the frame. This is no problem. I have a bunch of original car nuts at my place. I found three and started to dry them. I haven’t done it for a long time, and it’s a bit rusty.
Tool preparation: 10 wrenches (same set), a small flat screwdriver, a medium screwdriver, AB glue.
1. Door sill trim, use a small screwdriver to pry up a little door sill trim, you can see the clips, put a medium-sized screwdriver in to pry the clips, there are three clips in total, just pry them off, there is a clip near the front of the car, Just pay attention;
2. Remove the original car interior panel, unplug the black cap on the front room of the right foot of the co-driver, grab the interior panel and pull it out directly;
3. Find the holes for the three nuts and fix them with AB glue;
4. Install screws, two short and one long;
5. Install interior panels, brackets, door sill trims;
6. If there is a fire extinguisher, install a fire extinguisher, and if there is no one, install a large bottle of mineral water like me.
The car friend also sent a cup holder, which I couldn’t wait to install.

I got a solar charger from Japan and charged it when the sun came out.
Off-road is a pit, modification ruins a life. It looks like a small hole, but it is actually a big hole, and the pictures are posted slowly.
Upgrade completed the first wave:
1. Mark Levinson’s amplifier;
2. Lexus central control screen;
3. Fire extinguisher bracket (without fire extinguisher);
4. Mahogany gear lever.
Comparing photos from the same angle, changing the mahogany steering wheel in two days, the central control panel of LX470 can be installed to LC100 perfectly without damage.
However, I heard that there are some that cannot be installed, maybe the version is different.
The power amplifier of the LX470 can be perfectly replaced, and the sound quality of the original car power amplifier has been significantly improved. The next step is to install the Mark Levinson speaker.
