Since the outbreak of the new crown virus pneumonia, Chery Holding Group has acted quickly. Up to now, the Chery International team has purchased a total of 56,060 pairs of N95 protective masks; 55,800 pairs of disposable medical masks; 1,200 sets of coveralls; 11,000 sets of disposable surgical gowns; 1,000 sets of outdoor forehead thermometers; pair; 10,000 pairs of medical sterile gloves.
In the process of overseas procurement, Chery has overcome many difficulties together with local partners. Due to time urgency, the materials purchased from overseas were transported back to China by air, and most domestic freight forwarding companies did not go to work due to the Spring Festival holiday, so the air cargo space was very tight. In Brazil, local partners assisted Chery’s staff to repackage anti-coronavirus materials overnight to reduce the size and rush to take the earliest flight back home. In Vietnam, Chery’s local joint venture partners have run 5-6 medical mask manufacturers through various relationships, and finally got together the planned purchase quantity.

In addition to the medical supplies that have already been purchased through overseas channels, Chery International also plans to continue to purchase about 150,000 pieces of anti-coronavirus supplies from overseas, including medical masks, medical gloves, surgical gowns, goggles, protective clothing, thermometers, etc. Previously, in order to help curb the epidemic as soon as possible, Chery Holding Group announced a donation of 10 million yuan, including providing cash, special ambulance vehicles and other medical protection materials.
