The second stage of the Dakar Rally is from Albaj to the new industrial and commercial city of Niem in the northwest. This is the shortest stage in the total mileage of this Dakar, only 393 kilometers, but the special stage has 367 kilometers. The special track is dominated by dirt roads (65%), and there are also 30% gravel roads. Although it is a high-speed stage with reduced difficulty in terms of terrain and landforms, it is a greater challenge for the navigators.
