Last year, Land Rover chose the best time to release the latest generation of Land Rover Defender. Compared with the previous Land Rover Defender that could go up and down the sea, the new generation of Defender has obviously become a fashion niche. It’s more refined, it’s trendier, but it’s definitely not as hardworking at the same time.
Under the positioning of fashion, derivative products developed around the new generation of Land Rover Defender have also appeared one after another. A few days ago, Land Rover cooperated with Autohome to launch an exclusive roof tent for Land Rover Defender to meet the camping needs of Land Rover Defender owners.
The new roof tent is 2.3 meters long, 1.3 meters wide and 1.5 meters high when fully open. The tent has a payload of 900kg under normal conditions and a static load of 300kg when installed on the roof.
The outer shell of the tent is made of glass fiber material, and the lifting of the tent is completed by the air pressure jack. The user only needs to loosen the fastening bolts and lift a little distance, and the air pressure jack can actively complete the lifting.
After the release of the new generation of Land Rover Defender, Land Rover has prepared as many as 170 optional packages for it. The roof tent is currently only available on the long-wheelbase version of the Land Rover Defender 110. What is certain is that it won’t be long before more aftermarket kits based on the actual needs of the Land Rover Defender will also appear one after another.
