Recently, some domestic media exposed a group of spy photos of the new Volvo V60. The new car is developed based on the SPA architecture. The appearance of the new car adopts the same family design language as the new V90, and it will be launched in China in early August this year.
The appearance of the new Volvo V60 adopts Volvo’s latest family-style design style. Compared with the old models, the biggest change is the replacement of Volvo’s iconic Thor’s Hammer headlights, which improves the recognition. In addition, the new car is equipped with a brand-new vertical-strip air intake grille, which is basically consistent with the new S60 model as a whole.
The new car has the smooth body side lines of a traditional station wagon, and its shape is very similar to the current V90. The tail light group of the new model “Viking Ax” adopts LED light source, and its shape is similar to that of the new generation Volvo XC60. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new Volvo V60 are 4761/1850/1427mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2872mm. Compared with the old V60, the length and wheelbase of the new car have increased by 126mm and 96mm respectively, while the width and height have been reduced by 16mm and 57mm respectively.

It is worth mentioning that the new V60 will provide two design styles for consumers to choose from, that is, the normal version and the R-Design version. In terms of appearance, they are different in details such as the front fog lamp area, wheel rim, rear enclosure, front air intake grille and exterior rearview mirror cover. The R-Design version has a stronger sporty atmosphere.
In terms of interior, the brand-new Volvo V60 family-style interior design is simple and clear, and the use of large-area soft materials and decorative panels makes the vehicle look full of class. The central control area of the new car is equipped with a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, a full LCD instrument panel and a 9-inch touch display. At the same time, the vertical air-conditioning outlets on both sides of the central control LCD screen are in the shape of a small number of control buttons, making the overall layout look more atmospheric.
Like the appearance, models with different design styles also have certain differences in partial shapes such as the steering wheel. As for the configuration, functions such as panoramic sunroof, automatic parking, rear independent air-conditioning, voice control, automatic anti-glare interior rearview mirror and adaptive cruise are all provided.
In terms of power, the new cars launched in China will provide T5/T6/T6 plug-in hybrid models, of which the comprehensive maximum power of the three models of T6/T6 plug-in hybrid/T8 plug-in hybrid has reached 253 horsepower, 340 horsepower and 390 horsepower. The T5 version is equipped with a 2.0T engine.
