When I learned that after the global shutdown in March 2018, only the Middle East version was sold in Tianjin Port. What I hated the most was that when I wanted such a thing, he couldn’t buy it anymore, so I pooled some money and found it that used to be in Forever. Let’s talk about the chassis part first. Although I have worked in a tuning shop for a while, I have never been in touch with tuning since then. As an original factory controller, I have never modified anything.
Throughout October, I should have read all of this section. It seems that everyone chooses KING shock absorbers. I also wanted to use this, but I think OME’s shock absorber seems to be better than KING? I just looked at the photos and said that the OME shock absorber is more suitable for driving on the road, and the problem of oil leakage has been solved. After discussing with the original modification shop colleagues, I still use the OME shock absorber.
In fact, I have driven this FJ plain car for about 2 weeks. What I am most dissatisfied with is the shock absorber of the original factory. It may be that the performance car has been driven too much. In one sentence, it is what the hell… It is too soft, the brakes need to nod, and cornering Not confident either. So the first thing is to change the shock absorber. I also saw a post from a great god saying, where to go to the off-road original shock absorber for high-intensity driving and oil leakage…
As for the lower arm, the anti-roll bar and some reinforcements, I haven’t studied it, and there are better ones than Taiwan’s HARD RACE, but I think the technical content of the anti-roll bar is not high, just be strong, but it’s good for construction The quality requirements are higher, so I am not too entangled in whether to use top brands.
In the pictures above, there is nothing to say about the tires and wheels. The workmanship of this wheel is exquisite, and the quality should be average. It is not a wheel that prevents tires from falling out.
Let me tell you how I feel after the modification:
The appearance is much more powerful and majestic, and I am really satisfied! However, in the case of full oil, the height of the four wheels is inconsistent, and may need to be adjusted. The ground clearance of the right rear is 101, the left rear is 100, the right front is 103, and the left front is 98.
How about the driving experience? First, let’s talk about the shock absorber. I think OME’s original factory setting is still too soft for me, so I increased the COMP by 3 bars, and it feels a little better.
Tracking performance, etc. After changing the tires, the feeling is similar to the original car, or a little worse, because the plain car has not been driven for a long time, so the feeling is not very clear.
