In the previous push, I talked about the Prado off-road kit model launched by ELFORD. At that time, I mentioned that the strength of the Prado lies in its ability to easily control different modification styles. In order to prove my point of view, in the following text, I will talk about the Prado modification plan of the VIP performance version.
In the domestic parallel imported version of Prado, there is a type of model that is more interesting, that is, the style of the VIP version. Compared with the normal version of the model, this batch of VIP version of the Prado has added a set of small surrounds on the original basis, which significantly expands the height of the front of the car, and at the same time weakens the approach angle of the whole car. However, this type of Prado in China has not upgraded the suspension and tires accordingly, so the final image it brings is a four-dimensional appearance, which is indeed awkward.
VIP modification has always been a typical way of Japanese modification. Its essence lies in the feeling of sticking to the ground brought about by the interplay of tires and small body kits. For example, the VIP performance version of the Prado launched by ELFORD also adds a small aerodynamic package under the front bumper, and adds an auxiliary LED light source in this area, making the front face of the vehicle The sense of hierarchy has been comprehensively improved. The side pedal also adopts the integral pedal commonly known as “air pedal” in China. At the rear of the vehicle, a small surround kit with diffuser elements has also been added. The rear exhaust pipe also adopts a sports exhaust with double outlets on both sides.
Until here, the idea of this VIP performance version of the Prado is the same as that of the VIP version models that can be seen in China. However, in terms of the most important tires, the effect of the Japanese original version is presented. It is equipped with a set of 22-inch 10-spoke forged wheels from ELFORD, which achieves a lightweight effect of 13.4kg. With the optimization of the wheel hub, the style of VIP is fully presented.
In addition, in terms of power, the gasoline versions of the Prado sold in Japan are all 2.7L models, and ELFORD has also designed a high-flow air intake kit for the corresponding exhaust gas, which makes the road performance orientation of the vehicle clear. Obviously, this can be used as a good design case.
