[E Group Overseas Report] In the second half of last year, the highly anticipated Wrangler pickup – Jeep Gladiator officially debuted. After nearly half a year of waiting, the brand new Jeep Gladiator was officially launched in the North American market.
According to the official information released by Jeep, the price range of the new Jeep Gladiator is between US$33,545 and US$43,565, which is about RMB 225,000 to 292,000. In addition, with the official launch of the new car, Jeep also released a limited edition commemorative model, priced at US$60,815, or about 408,000 yuan, and limited to 4,190 vehicles.
According to different configurations, the brand-new Jeep Gladiator has launched four models: Sport, Sport S, Overland and Rubicon, which are basically in line with the product series of the Wrangler. As the entry-level version of the Sport model, the configuration is mostly manual, including manual windows, manual door locks, halogen headlights and a set of the most basic 17-inch wheels. From the point of view of configuration, this entry-level model will not be launched as the main sales model. The higher-level Sport S model adds 18-inch wheels, electric windows and central door locks. The comfort configuration includes dual-zone automatic air conditioning and optional LED headlights.
All new Jeep Gladiators offer removable roofs, and like the Wrangler, owners can choose between a soft or hard top. In terms of power, they are also equipped with a 3.6L V6 naturally aspirated engine as standard, with a maximum output of 212 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 352 Nm. It is mated to a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.
Like the Wrangler, the top-spec Rubicon is the funniest model in Jeep’s Gladiator lineup. In terms of configuration, 17-inch polished wheels, LED headlights, tow hooks and other configurations are also added. In addition, users can also choose Bluetooth, off-road cameras, all-terrain tires and other configurations.
As for the newly added first limited-edition model, it is based on the Rubicon with a full range of optional configurations, including black aluminum alloy wheels and 33-inch all-terrain tires. In the interior of the vehicle, silver trim strips and exclusive Logos are added for embellishment.
