On May 22, a support team of technical experts from Kia Motors headquarters arrived in Yancheng to support Dongfeng Yueda Kia and help the brand’s flagship model Kaiku to achieve global standards and global quality.
Hyundai Kia is one of the five largest automobile groups in the world, and has strong technical reserves in the fields of engine technology, platform architecture and manufacturing. Dongfeng Yueda Kia, as its joint venture in China, always puts technology drive at the key position of its development strategy. Kaiku, the global model to be launched in September, is based on the latest i-GMP platform of Hyundai and Kia.
The visiting technical support team is composed of 80 senior experts, whose majors cover the core areas of vehicle performance, quality control, component equipment and other vehicle quality. Next, they will go deep into the Dongfeng Yueda Kia production base, give full play to their professional advantages and experience, and provide technical guidance in terms of production technology based on Kia’s global quality standards to ensure that Kaiku, a global model, enjoys the same global quality.
