Looking back on the 2019 journey, I feel the civilization of the world
Time flies, time is like a song. Since the mu-X Ranger officially became the official vehicle for the “China National Geographic” scientific expedition in 2017, this scientific expedition on wheels has gone through two years of journey. In 2019, the joint scientific expedition team traveled through the Hengduan Mountains, crossed the Himalayas, climbed the Ngari Plateau, and went deep into the hinterland of northern Xinjiang. During the nearly 10,000-kilometer trek, they explored the beauty of China and experienced the unique and splendid local civilization.

The Jinsha River, Lancang River, Nujiang River and Dulong River in the Hengduan Mountains are parallel to form the magnificent scenery of “Four Parallel Rivers”. The scientific expedition team visited 15 old people with tattoos in the villages around the Dulong River and learned about this unique pattern. This custom is to protect oneself from being taken away by foreign forces a century ago. Along the “Bingchacha” all the way to the west, the villages in Zayu are inhabited by the “Teng nationality”, an unidentified ethnic group other than China’s 56 ethnic groups. The older generation of Teng people’s women still have huge tremella holes, which symbolizes Nobility.
As one of the three most majestic mountains on earth, the Himalayas are the “poetry and distance” and “sacred place of the soul” that many people yearn for. The scientific expedition team crossed the Himalayas from south to north, and visited the only surviving Zhangzhung Aya people in the village, the Rawang Luobu family, in Jilong Gouzha Village, on the way of the Tangzhu Ancient Road where Princess Wencheng married in Tibet. The Ya people are the descendants of the Aryan people known as “the most intelligent race” and the people of Jilong Zhangzhung. Except for the special etiquette of worshiping Buddha and gods, the Aya people have integrated with Geelong in terms of food, clothing, dialect and architecture.
At the confluence of mountains and rivers such as the Gangdise Mountains, the Himalayas, and the Kunlun Mountains, Ngari, Tibet, rises with an average altitude of more than 4,500 meters. As the “roof of the roof of the world”, Ali is still a mysterious place that is difficult for human beings to reach. Ngari was the base of the first Tibetan regime, the Zhang Zhung Kingdom. It has become an unsolved historical mystery as to where the Yincheng, the capital of the Zhang Zhung King, is located. The scientific expedition team visited the Qulong site and the Kaerdong site respectively, which provided further strong evidence for determining the specific location of the dome Yincheng.
In 2020, the footsteps will not stop, looking for the Jedi creatures
Although the joint scientific expedition activities in the second season have come to an end, the journey of scientific exploration in 2020 will continue. At the ceremony, Li Qing, deputy party secretary of Jiangxi Isuzu Motors Co., Ltd., and Li Shuanke, president of “China National Geographic” magazine jointly announced the official start of the third season of joint scientific research activities. mu-X Shepherd Ranger will join hands with “Chinese National Geographic” for the third time, and accompany the scientific expedition team with the wild creatures that inhabit the vast China.
The first stop goes to the source of the Yangtze River to watch the bar-headed geese, the second stop goes deep into the Lancang River to photograph snow leopards, the third stop goes straight to the Altun Mountain Plateau to inspect wild yaks, and the fourth stop climbs to the top of Baima Snow Mountain to meet the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey. After the extreme nature in the first season and the ancient civilization investigation in the second season, the joint scientific research in the third season will follow the whereabouts of the Jedi creatures, and use another perspective to explore and record those who breathe with us under the sky , a shared destiny, a life worthy of awe and protection.
Isuzu duo go together to explore the road and grow together
