[e Group Overseas Report] In recent years, the trend of AMG as an independent brand has become more and more obvious. Although it still needs to rely on Mercedes-Benz products, AMG already has a unique family design-vertical The air intake grille began to become a family design of the AMG family. A few days ago, AMG released the brand new AMG GLE 53 again.
From the appearance point of view, AMG GLE 53 has not made too many changes on the body of Mercedes-Benz GLE, but the upgrade of exterior details and the optimization of chassis kit have changed the visual perception of AMG GLE 53. It is lower and has a more defined fighting atmosphere. As for the vehicle’s interior, the AMG-inspired design incorporates a black and red color scheme, and aluminum details are added to enhance its industrial aesthetic.
The upgrade we are more concerned about is the change in power. The AMG GLE 53 is equipped with a new 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine and a hybrid system composed of an electric motor. Of course, the emergence of this hybrid system is more of a consideration for improving the performance of the vehicle. The combined output of the two is 320 kW, which is matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic permanent all-wheel drive system. With the support of this set of power, the acceleration time of AMG GLE 53 from zero to 100 kilometers is 5.3 seconds, and the top speed is 250 kilometers per hour under the electronic speed limit.
In terms of chassis, AMG GLE 53 is equipped with air suspension as standard, and has an active yaw stabilization function, which can ensure the stability of the vehicle by adjusting some parameters of the suspension. In addition, combined with the use of air suspension, the driver can choose from seven driving modes. The maximum variation in suspension ground clearance is 55 mm.
