However, the most important factor for me to choose Tuda is still a feeling for the Nissan off-road brand, a feeling inherited after the approval of Paladin, and a group of car friends who can’t give up. From being an off-road novice to organizing dozens of vehicles to cross the desert, I have been accompanied by Paladin all these years, and I have met hundreds of riders before and after. Kubuqi is a holy place for people who love desert off-road these years. The main reason is that the area is large enough and the difficulty is large enough, so it is widely favored. The location of Kubuqi is not far from Beijing, 800 kilometers can be reached in no time. With the Kubuqi Desert as the center, there are Ordos and Baotou, the two most prosperous cities in Inner Mongolia, on the east side. To the west are Bayannaoer City and Wuhai City, and to the south is Hangjin Banner. The criss-crossing sand-piercing roads and rich supporting facilities have contributed to the unique advantages of the Kubuqi Desert. Coupled with the local people’s enthusiastic participation in rescue, navigation and government support, many new tourism projects with the theme of the desert have been developed and developed very rapidly.
Organizing this Kubuqi desert training camp is also the first time for me to drive the Tuda to play in the desert. I will first experience it myself and see how the Tuda performs. The second is to lead more Tuda riders who love off-road to experience the charm of the desert. The third is through this event, from the perspective of a real car fan, let more people know the car he approves through online social media. And strictly speaking, this is the first desert activity initiated by Tuda riders. All of us do not have much experience in using vehicles in the desert, and we all need to develop and explore by ourselves.
Itinerary for this event: assembly on April 4th; desert training on April 5th and 6th; return to Beijing on April 7th. From the very beginning of registration, various requirements were set, requiring each person to purchase self-driving travel insurance, rescue and escape equipment, and some off-road equipment, such as large shovels, tow ropes, flagpoles, and so on. The activity is divided into red, yellow, blue, green, purple, a total of 5 teams, each team has 8 cars. Each team is equipped with 1 team leader and 1-2 rescue vehicles. These add up to more than a dozen people, some of them voluntarily signed up, and some were recruited by strong men to call them over to help. Here I would like to thank them for their selfless dedication, sacrificing their chance to play alone, and leading everyone to play for free.
We embarked on a journey from Beijing to Kubuqi the night before the assembly. The road performance of Tuda is very good. In terms of handling, due to the use of a rack steering mechanism, it is basically comparable to the level of an urban SUV. In terms of configuration, benevolent people have different opinions, and the configuration of Tuda is not low. In terms of power, Tuda’s power performance on the road is very good. Although it can’t achieve the surging power of the current urban SUV, it is still very easy to do it with ease.
For a hard-core off-road vehicle, I don’t want to emphasize fuel consumption too much, because it is not a car that you can use to save fuel. We commuted at high speed the night before, and the measured fuel consumption of Tuda was 13.3L per 100 kilometers. Day1. (April 4) Free assembly day, the destination is Dugui Tala Town, Hangjin Banner. Accommodation: Hengshengxing Desert Hotel, price: 368 yuan / night. I think the team this time has grown, with a total of nearly 40 cars. Needless to say, veterans off-road, but whenever they have the opportunity to go out and play wild, they will never miss it. With the pressure brought by the fast pace of the city, more and more newcomers have begun to join the passionate and exciting sport of cross-country.
Day2. (April 5) After breakfast, line up at the hotel entrance at 8:30.
There will be a pre-departure meeting in groups at the desert off-road point. Check whether the off-road equipment is complete, must have: tow rope (9 meters and 10 tons), air pump, large shovel, flagpole, flag, car platform or hand platform, self-driving travel insurance.
It is of course necessary to deflate the tires before entering the sand to increase the ground contact area and gain “power” in the desert. There is no hard and fast rule on how much to put, the lower the more “powerful”, of course, under the condition that the tire does not fall off the ring. In order to prevent the tires from falling out of the ring, try to avoid rushing the direction in the desert, especially for plain tires.

Crossing these sand beams is very exciting for novices who come to the desert for the first time. The Tuda has a minimum ground clearance of 225mm, an approach angle of 32° and a departure angle of 27°.
Because Tuda is equipped with a professional off-road non-load-bearing body, it adopts a strong frame with a fully enclosed “O” structure, which has high strength, good rigidity, torque resistance, and can withstand strong impacts from external forces.
