Day1: “Encounter Dunhuang” large-scale live performance

Day2: Mogao Grottoes – Big Wave Bay
On the second day, the Pajero team led us to the Mogao Grottoes, a world cultural heritage and the Palace of Chinese Art. Day3: Lenghu Town – Dachaidan
On the third day, after leaving the campsite, the convoy drove to today’s destination, Dachaidan, crossed a short section of the Gobi route, and finally drove onto the paved road. On the way, we crossed Dangjin Mountain, which is located at the junction of Qilian Mountain and Altun Mountain. The mountains are distributed in the south of Subei in an east-west direction. There are many mountains, steep mountains , sparse vegetation, and severe cutting of vertical and horizontal valleys. To the west of Dangjin Pass is Altun Mountain, and to the east is Qilian Mountain. After crossing the 3800-meter Dangjin Pass , you will enter Qinghai.
After crossing Dangjin Mountain, we came to Lenghu Town. This place is located at the junction of Qinghai, Xinjiang and Gansu, on the northwest edge of the Qaidam Basin , and is one of China’s important mining areas. Lenghu was originally a no-man’s land. In 1955, the geological team discovered a freshwater lake on the northern edge of the Qaidam Basin. The lake was very cold , so the location was called Lenghu. Next, thousands of oil workers came to Lenghu, China’s fourth largest oil field , from all over the country with the ideal and ambition of “I will contribute oil to the motherland” . However, with the depletion of oil resources here, the cold lake oil field has fallen into a slump in development, and the oil town that once had tens of thousands of people has now become a ruin. Today, these leftovers have once again become the charm of Lenghu, and the Yardang landform has added a cool mystery to it.
After a brief rest in Lenghu Town, the convoy set off again and arrived at Dachaidan in Qinghai, where we finally saw the “Emerald Lake”, a salt lake with both salt deposits and brine, rich in mineral resources. Due to the different concentrations of minerals, the lake water appears dark green, dark green, emerald green… just like pieces of emerald embedded in the earth, so it has the reputation of “Emerald Lake”. Day4: Crossing Qaidam Yadan landform no man’s land
On the 20th, due to the overnight rain, the originally planned trip to the glacier was difficult, so it was changed to cross the Yardang landform group in the Qaidam Basin. There are not only Yardang landforms in the area, but also deserts, wetlands, and Gobi. Starting from Delingha all the way, the majestic and magnificent scenery of the Qaidam Basin gradually unfolded in front of us. Looking at both sides of the road, the colorful gravel Gobi covered the earth, and the long sandy soil dotted with unknown drought-tolerant plants was empty for thousands of miles. After years of weathering, large and small mounds have become large-scale small mountain groups that appear to be formed of rocks.
