Walk alone in Laozhanggou and cross the frozen road!

More than two months ago, staying at home was really boring, always thinking about where to go for a stroll.

In the early spring around Beijing, there are few fun places to mention, so I thought of Laozhanggou. Although I have been to that cross-country resort several times before, they were all in midsummer or late spring, and I have never set foot in this icy and snowy season.

So on the last weekend of February, after sleeping until I woke up naturally, I made some simple preparations for breakfast, and then set off facing the bright sunshine. I don’t bother to describe the situation along the way here. In short, I walked leisurely all the way to the north. I arrived at Sandaochuan Township at 3:00 in the afternoon, and then started to cross the snow-covered X404. After experiencing a lot of walking on thin ice and trembling, I left my lonely footprints under the soles of my feet before dusk, and just set off to return to the golden sunset, and finally completed the first in 2020 in the dark night. A cross-country trip. It took 11 hours to drive 500km all day.

Finally, talk about the road conditions. Going to Changchi Road, after passing Yanqing and entering Hebei, the National Highway G335 is really frustrating. It seems that this path cannot be followed in the future. The road condition of the G239 back to Chicheng was excellent, and there were almost no cars. On the newly built Jingli Expressway at Dahaituo, it goes through countless long tunnels all the way to Bagao, which is much faster than the small asphalt road that crossed Dahaituo in the past. When passing the checkpoint into Beijing, and there were only two cars in front of me, it took less than a minute to pass.

At the beginning, I was worried that the ice surface was not strong enough, so I tried to go around to the right, but found that there was no way at all, so I had to turn back and bite the bullet and get on the ice!

Compared with driving on ice, this kind of off-road section is less stressful.
