The long-awaited return of the Bronco nameplate to Ford loyalists is coming. The model left the market in 1996, but it never left the hearts of its true lovers. In 2020, we’ll see the return of an all-new Bronco, and Ford confirmed at the 2017 Detroit auto show that the iconic SUV will return in just a few years and will be produced at Ford’s Michigan plant. .
Like the Jeep Wrangler and many great off-road vehicles before it, Ford says the new Bronco will be a true 4×4. According to product development director Raj Nair, the vehicle will share a platform with the Ranger pickup.
In terms of power, the Bronco may be equipped with an EcoBoost engine that provides more than 325 horsepower (242 kilowatts) and can also generate considerable torque. This power provides 369 pound-feet (500 Nm) of torque on the Ranger Raptor. There may also be an all-new diesel engine.

Regarding launch timing, two anonymous sources said to be connected to Ford revealed a rough timeline for the Bronco and the smaller Bronco. The smaller Bronco will be unveiled in January 2020, and the Bronco is expected to be unveiled six months later, with production starting in January 2021.
